Suboxone Pharmacy Issue
Updatedunder new laws on dispensing suboxone, what or how much can pharmacies fill? my son is going thru this and he was prescribed 11 suboxone strips a week but local pharmacies wont fill his because they only are allowed to get so much of the medication per month and that they cant dispense to new customers. and the pharmacy that he did find to fill his sobxone strips say now that they can only fill 6 strips per week but doctor is still prescribing 11 strips per week. what is up with these pharmacies and is this the new law as of 7-1-2015???

Where are you located? The reason I'm asking is because some dispensing laws can vary from state to state.
Has he informed his doctor that the pharmacy won't provide his full prescribed amount?
The FDA warns that Suboxone carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.

The first pharmacy was being completely honest, they are limited in how much they can order, and keep in stock each month, so if they are currently maxed out, they can't take on anyone new, because they simply don't have the medication to do so.
