Suboxone Partial Refill On Insurance
UpdatedMy doctor has recently prescribe 90 suboxone films a month, My insurance will only pay for 60 of them and the pharmacy said unless I have my doctor to write a new script to reduce my films to what the insurance will pay I will have to pay Cash for all of them, Why can't the pharmacist bill insurance for the 60 that they will pay and let me pay cash for the other 30? Has anyone eles had a problem like this?

Hi Suger1960,
Sorry to hear about your predicament. What pharmacy do you go to? It sounds like insurance and the pharmacy are both giving you a hard time, probably to save more money on their end. They'll often choose what payment scenarios work best for them as a profit-driven business.
Nevertheless, it would still be a good idea to ask your pharmacy why they can't be flexible in that regard. Customers deserve to know why... and I think if they're not willing to explain, then perhaps choosing to fill at a different pharmacy would be an ultimatum. If you go to CVS or other big chain pharmacies then I would probably search for a small mom & pop pharmacy that operate under less scrutiny. Just wanted to share my thoughts on this. I hope everything gets sorted out for the best!
