I took a 4mg at 1pm, then a 2mg at 3pm. Still in withdrawals. It's now 7pm. Can I take another 2 mg dose? I don't think I have gone into PAW. My last ms contin dose of 30mg was at 7pm last night. Help please.

Hello, Missy! How are you feeling? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having.

It sounds like you may not have waited long enough, after taking the MS Contin, so the Suboxone may be pushing you into some withdrawal. Generally, unless your doctor instructs otherwise, you have to be in full withdrawal from all other opiates, before taking it, which usually takes 24 hours, or more.

The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

I'd not suggest taking more, without your doctor's approval, as you could end up overdosing on the Suboxone, or starting severe precipitated withdrawals, which can be dangerous.

How much of the MS Contin were you taking each day?
