Suboxone Cost

My son is in rehab and they started him on suboxone one 4md in morning and 8 mg in afternoon. I can't find a provider that prescribes this in northern Harford County Maryland (Not Dr. Gay Please) How much is sub for an entire month supply or even daily.

The price, however, can vary depending on where you purchase them, it is, quite expensive, though and you will not find a cheap price for it.

Do you have any type of insurance to help with this?

Have you spoken to the doctors about the possibility of Methadone as an alternative, since it has been on the market much longer and is much cheaper?

Most doctors do prefer Suboxone, now, since it has enabled many people to get completely drug free, while a lot of people who use Methadone end up on a lifetime maintenance dose.

They do have a website, Suboxone.com where you can search for the nearest prescribing doctor.

There is a Dr. Tannenbaum at the Bel Air Center for Addictions belaircenterforaddictions.com whom my daughter is seeing. She has to participate in his program which is not cheap, but she gets the suboxone. Good luck!

Methadone is a much more dangerous drug than suboxone. Please do your research before choosing. Remember there is a patient assistance program for suboxone, the drug company will help those who do not have insurance and whose income is significantly low.

Agree. People who even suggest methadone as a treatment option should be shot. Methadone has pretty much run it's course and they are now starting life long methadone treatment patients on suboxone treatment so as to involve them in a shorter maintenance program, average is two years for suboxone treatment. And the patient program for free suboxone through the pharmaceutical company is called here to help. There are actually two different programs with that name, one is used as a self help plan for relapse prevention and learning coping mechanisms and the other is the prescription assistance. If you accidentally call the first one they will give you the contact for the assistance program though. The only difficulty is finding a doctor who hasn't reached their patient maximum. Every suboxone doctor is only allowed a 100 patients and only a maximum of three under each doctor enrolled in the prescription assistance program. My doctors receptionist told me that they didn't have any openings and I called here to help anyways, come to find out he didn't have any so I am his first. Dont believe everything you hear and it doesn't hurt to double check. I still have to pay for doctor visits...here to help only covers the prescription costs and only for a year which creates a problem seeing as how most suboxone treatment is an average of two years. The hands down best doctor for suboxone is Dr. Karl Spector in Bel Air. He feels that if he makes suboxone easier to access you wil be less likely to relapse so he doesn't make you jump through hoops. %99 of suboxone doctors do not accept insurance for the visit unless it's a clinic

Hi, iam perscribed to2½ 8mg Suboxone strips a day and even with an insurance plan I pay out the you know what for this medication! 111.00 a month is the exact amount with the discount card applied to it. Every insurance policy is different so look into all the different types of policy plans and cards they except for more assistance. But to answer your question it is a $4,000 dollar script for all 75 a 30 day supply! And yes they do make a pill form but docs typically dnt hand those out easily bc they can be shot up. They may be cheaper though?

So can the strip be shot up if u soak in few drops water so that's not 5 he reason dr. Isn't giving pills just my opinion.

I just switched back to sub's after three years at a methadone clinic. Never would I go back to a methadone clinic. They're abusive. They know they got you very addicted therefore can force you to do tons of groups, one on one sessions, refuse you your dose for some invalid reason, anything they want. I got a broken rib by the security at a clinic so I just quit. I'm a 61 yr old woman!!! If I don't tow the line they can just kick you out even when you're on a high dose, then relay negative info in your records so no clinic will accept you. You end up in the worst withdrawals and right back where u started...
