Suboxone And Pain Medications

For the past 4 days except for today I have been taking 8mg of suboxone, today I took 3-7.5 mg of Vicodin to no effect I'm guessing because of my blocked receptors, I'm looking to just continue my suboxone use, do I have to wait even though the suboxone already blocked everything, or will I go into precipitated withdrawals because there are opiates in my system? Thx

@Curious,

If you haven't received any kind of effect from taking a single vicodin, my opinion is that you should be fine to continue using suboxone as you were. However because I am not a doctor I would still encourage you to seek professional medication advice regarding this just to be on the safe side. There are also those here who have a lot of personal experience switching between the two and can offer a more conclusive answer based on their own history of use. So I'd even be interested in hearing what someone else has to say about this as well.

Suboxone is reported to have a pretty long half life and just seems to me like it would outlast any dwindling effects that this one vicodin might've left behind.

I hope this helps!
