Suboxone And Clonazepam

I'm currently on 32 mg daily of suboxone. I also have been prescribed Clonazepam 1mg. Is it ok/safe to take 1 of the 1 mg Clonazepam with 32 mg of suboxone? I have received mixed answers so I'm hoping I can get a majority of responses that are similar. My main concern is that I will have depressed respiratory function or CNS depression. Any and all answers are welcomed.

CNS depression is a possibility, if you are taking both of these medications, according to the FDA. However, the doesn't mean they cannot be taken together, if just means that your doctor should be sure to adjust your doses carefully, and they should be monitoring you regularly to try to avoid any potential problems.

I'll answer your question first and then you decide whether or not to keep reading lol- the short answer is "you'll be fine." The fact is, if you're taking both as prescribed, you'll likely have no side effects provided you are somewhat healthy. I take both and have no issues.

Part 2- why in the hell are you taking 32mg of bupe per day? Bupe is a hard ceiling drug. Meaning anything over a certain amount is just creating very expensive urine. There's no way your body is using even half of that dose I'd bet. As a former addict that could ingest 2000mg per day of any opiate I could get my hands on, I ASSURE you that if you cut that dose in half, you'll likely have the very same result. Now I know other addicts reading this will beg to differ. My favorites are the folks that swear one generic doesn't work as well as another or as well as a name brand. It's all bs. If you are mentally sound and not a hypochondriac, you can cut that dose by half and I'll bet that you don't experience any real side effects besides those that you conjure up yourself. Do some research. You'll find exactly what I'm talking about with just a few quick clicks of the mouse.
