But if I had done heroin lets say yesterday and started taking suboxone today. Would the Naltrexon (2mg) in the suboxone wash away the heroin metabolite for the next 3 days or should I wait? I know urine test look for metabolites not the actual drug. If the Naltrexon in the Suboxen blocks the heroin form being process into the metabolite would the urine test come out dirty or clean. Suboxen is a great medication, it is extremely safe and I feel much more normal than on methadone.

Try going by what I said. I tested with a full 12 panel test every month for 12 months and by what my Dr. said. See my comment below.

Also from the same sources and the Drs themselves based on my dosage it would take just over 72 hours to pass thru my system. Thats just my situation, it depends on dosage, length of treatment, body type and metabolism but if you want an educated guess I'd say 3 to 5 days to be 100% positive. Remember I'm NOT a Dr. This is just based on my personal experience and research. I wish you the best my friend.

After questioning a few friends who do drug screens and urine testing for potential employers, they all told me the same thing. Suboxone requires its own separate test at this point and will not show up on a standard urine drug screen. Personally I passed a full 12 panel test to work in a hospital while I was currently taking two full suboxones a day. Never a mention of it, the only thing that came back was the zanax(which I am legitimately prescribed ny my shrink). So if you're serious about the Suboxone therapy I wouldn't necessarily sweat the drug test for Suboxone. Like I said, all of my contacts were people who test or develop testing and drug screening equipment for a living. And for me personally it was a non issue. As a matter of fact I took 2 full tablets inthe 24 hours leading up to the test. I know there are a lot of people out there who would make up a story just to have some one listen to them and fail. but I've been clean for a few months now because of the Suboxone. It really saved my life. I was able to get my dream job, get back the love of my life but most importantly I got me back and now I'm even better than I remembered I was. I wish you luck my friend and hopefully ina few weeks you'll bew able to taste the fruits of success as I did because of this therapy

Actually, suboxone will not show up in any drug test unless it is specifically looked for. I was tested weekly for a long time, and had the full 12 panel extended test done monthly, and nothing showed up. I asked my dr and his reply was that unless suboxone is specifically looked for it will not show up.

just to inform you this does show up in a standard drug test. also it depends on how long you have been on the drug and how many mg to know about how long it will take to get it out of your system.
