Suboxone After Methadone

I took 20mg methadone 36 hours ago and 10mg 28 hours ago. I dont feel really sick yet but a little anxious. Is it safe to administer 2mg of suboxone right now or do I need to wait longer?

You need to be in full withdrawal, before taking Suboxone. Otherwise, the Naloxone in it may throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals.

The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Wait longer. Methadone is still in you. Methadone takes at minimum 70 hrs to get out of u for Subs to work. You should get Subutex it's Suboxane with out the ingredients that reacts to Methadone and you can take immediately. Ask your Dr bout it.

I have been on Dr prescribed suboxone for over 2 years now but I'm running short this month. I have access to methadone but I want to know how long I'd have to wait to go back on suboxone if I take methadone for a few days so I can stretch out my sub prescription and make it to my next Dr appt.

You better wait until you are SICK! If you dont, believe me you'll wish you had. Do y'all not get it? Suboxen and Methadone and Fentynyl DON'T MIX! It will throw you into immediate withdrawal at the highest level! I just went through it. It hasn't been a month yet. This isn't a tag team event. When you run out, you take suboxen. This is dangerous and life threatening. I did it right and still got plunged into withdrawal because we couldn't get the Fentynyl out. Doctor thought someone was slipping me Methadone. Now I'm fine. But I'm talking from a very recent experience. Suboxen works differently when on Methadone. If you have the smallest amount of Methadone in your system, Suboxen will put you into withdrawal.
