Suboxone & Surgery
UpdatedI am on Suboxone 8/2. I am scheduled to have serious back surgery, Spinal Fusion. Does Suboxone address the pain caused by surgery? Or will I need to go back to vicodin and oxycotin?

Hello, Red! How are you?
It is entirely up to your doctor, but most people don't get a lot of pain relief from Suboxone and do end up needing to take something else for awhile, after surgery.
The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Can anyone that's been on it and had surgery chime in with their experience?
