Suboxone Help? Insurance? (Page 5) (Top voted first)

Hi my name is Carrie and I'm from Hermosa Beach, CA.. I have been taking oral 8mg suboxone for months, as it really helps me and keeps me from popping 40 vicodin or norco's a day. I was on cobra with Blue cross when I began taking it, but it was too expensive. The cobra was 600 a month. Do you know of any independent rx coverage for suboxone? Right now i just paid 400 for 90 of them, and that's a one month supply. I'm better off taking the vicodins. I am disabled, but haven't gotten approved for medical yet. I have no insurance. If you have any suggestions, please help me, best regards.

Yes they are weaker. No one i know thinks they are the same. Maybe look for a drug/mental health place to get them to pay for your meds. Mine does and i take 3 subs a day and some other meds, but i give about 6 hours a month up for free meds.

I have been told the reason a lot of insurance companies do cover subs is because they want you to be monitored by drug and mental health counselors. I see a lot of people on here having problems with doctors not writing them to ya or the cost of the meds. I have left a reply on a few of your comments but everyone should try and get into an outpatient drug/mental health program (here in Missouri we have one and it's called SEMO). I give them a group meeting once a week for a dr. Appointment once a month and an hour with the nut doctor every 3 months and I get all my meds and dr. Appointments free of charge. If you have a methadone clinic in your area see what they say or they may know of a program for your needs. I wish all of you luck. Stay clean cause we deserve a good life. I'm 14 months clean of opiates on the 19th .....Go me go me.

Hi, I have insurance but am still worried about cost. And worried it won't really help me in the end :(. I'm scared. I have 20 percocets 10/325's left and that is it, to last me the next 18 days. I don't want to suffer. I also wonder if I can wean with what I have as I am really prescribed to take 5 a day but end up taking way more than prescribed. Do you have any suggestions for me? Today I took 40mg, and was ok, just a little bit of an upset stomach and confusion/dizziness. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I am prescribed buprenorphine 3 8MG TABLETS a day i pay $350 for the doctor vist i get 90 a month but medacade wont cover my prescription it need dr. Auth required which he never answers so i have to pay an extra $368 just to pick it up from the phramacay i can not afford that is there any time of insurance that does not need dr. Auth required or some kind of help

I have medicare and medicade and my prescription plan is healthsprings. I was paying 3.30 for 90 strips. now i pay nothing its just how my insurance is. but i am having trouble paying for the doctor visit i pay 260 monthly and have to attend 4 groups a month. I know 260 sounds cheap to some people but im on a fixed income. I pay what i can when i can but i cant seem to catch up on my payments.

i would try to find another doctor he should have faxed in paper work to your insurence the very first day at least mine did. that is the only way to get it pre auth. you need to tell your dr to do that right away call him tomorrow no reason he shouldnt do it that is bs.

Exactly, what is the difference? OH I know, Doctors will stop prescribing once they've got you hooked! Dealers never say No.

Ive been on and off subs for years but i walys had ins started a new dor the induction was 300 then i had to come back a week layer pay another 150 it got a months script when i first took it to the pharmacy thet wanted over 550 for the meds so i looked on the inyernet real quick found a card and it got knocked dow to 220 bit my iestion is is thete a prohram whete the manufaturer will pay the doc visiy and a months worth of sub if know the answer email me {edited for privacy} thankyou

my daughter is on suboxin and it is killing me money wise it cost me 100 every week for doctors visit and them 106 for 15 strips is there some help out there to help pay for it they did give us a card where we get 45 of once a month but still this is a money racket

my insurance runs out in dec. and i need to continue with the suboxone i live in florida does anyone know who may be able to help pay for it...i received a 75% off prescription card in the mail...but not sure if it includes suboxone is that my best bet...? or should i try the manufacturer? any suggestions???? NEED HELP..like most of u said it's almost cheaper to get high then to be clean...i'm strugglin any advice wud help thanks

I currently have United Health Insurance and even though it does not pay for the office visit, it does pay the majority of my Suboxone prescription. I get 60 8mg/2mg a month and the retail for it is ~ $450. To make a long story short - I'm divorced now and will soon be loosing my insurance ( I was under my husbands ins.) Do you have ANY suggestions as to what type of insurance I should get or whom to contact to get the suboxone at a lower rate? Coming off the medication right now, is not an option . PLEASE HELP!
