Suboxone Help? Insurance? (Page 4) (Top voted first)

Updated

Hi my name is Carrie and I'm from Hermosa Beach, CA.. I have been taking oral 8mg suboxone for months, as it really helps me and keeps me from popping 40 vicodin or norco's a day. I was on cobra with Blue cross when I began taking it, but it was too expensive. The cobra was 600 a month. Do you know of any independent rx coverage for suboxone? Right now i just paid 400 for 90 of them, and that's a one month supply. I'm better off taking the vicodins. I am disabled, but haven't gotten approved for medical yet. I have no insurance. If you have any suggestions, please help me, best regards.

Hi. I am currently on Suboxone and am taking it because it's the only medicine that helps with my Arthritis and Fibromyalgia pain. I have been paying out of pocket for the past year. Does anyone know how i can go about getting my insurance to help me with the Cost at all? I have Medicaid Molina and live in Detroit, MI area in Wayne County. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

You can get a savings card. I hope this helps you as I was in your situation and it's not fun. Try to stay strong and remember the Vicodin will run out and you'll be sick. I hope you find this helpful.

There are a lot of suboxone drs out there. Google suboxone drs in your area. Most drs allow you to stay on the medication for as long as you want.. hope this helps

Jamestaa,
That's the quickest way to find yourself flagged the prescription monitoring program is now active in almost all areas of the country so if you've been prescribed this drug in the past the pharmacy running your ID WILL NO DOUBT RETURN YOUR HISTORY.Thats a hassle no one needs.

Im going thru sort of the same thing right now. I just got Florida blue and they r telling me they won't cover my buph unless I'm a pregnant woman or have an fda exception saying am allergic To naloxone. Anyways, I always have filled them at Walmart. The service there sucks and takes hours to fill them but it cost me 120 a month for 75 bupe pills there with a discount card that's free, called badger discount card. That's what I've been doing until my insurance will actually cover them like they should

Best advice I've read yet. I weined myself way down. I went from taking 4 subs per day to now literally 1/4 of a strip which is 8 mg. Per day and I've been at this dosage for several months now and it works for me.

My only question is this: which insurance can I get that will cover pharmacy cost of suboxone? My current employer offers none so it will have to be private I suppose. Thanks

My comment came off wrong. It was for a program. That helps you pay. But they would only cover you for so long. Where ive been going for a long time i was wondering if that's a no no to be accepted. Don't remember the program name at the moment. But i do not doctor shop, trust me never would. And couldn't ever afford it. Right now i have no ins. and didn't no if there are any better programs or cheap discount cards around. Sorry for the mis clarification.

I am on 90 as well and my insurance won't cover it. I live in Florida and I use an RX discount card and it dropped the price from 900 to 344.

What discount card do you use? My wife is covered through NY Medicaid and uses it for pain management but we are nervous about prescription prices

Re: Verwon (# 4) Expand Referenced Message

I live in Indiana and since I have a job the state said I made to much for ordinary Medicaid. But however I do qualify for the healthy Indiana plan or (hip) I believe it must be a form of Medicaid because when they sent me my insurance cards it say HIP/Medicaid. I pay about 30 dollars a month for this and I'm given a prescription for sure ozone weekly. They now pay for all of my script and I pay nothing at the pharmacy. Before I had to pay 130 dollars for a seven day supply. The catch is that HIP will only cover the tablet form and will no longer cover the film's. I prefer the the film's.s which I was on till I had to switch because insurance wouldn't cover them. They still get the job done and it may just be me but.i feel these tablets are a bit weaker even though they are the same milligram supposedly. But I have not had any withdrawal or sickness but the craving is there much more than with the strips.
