Suboxone For Pain Management

I went to suboxone and i am still in pain. after doc switched me to methadone and back again to suboxone because i couldnt do the methadone she told me this was it. gave me script to begin that day. had last methadone that morning. by the time i picked up mychildren i was going thru horrific withdrawal induced by the subs. and great pain. bi called them for help and an answer to why i was going thru it. they thought i wanted more suboxone! then they said they didnt know why and that i would have to go thru it. by the weekend i was in such desperation i put on a fentanyl patch. took it off 12 hopurs later. i was so deperate. now ive been dropped. this is following me. i am in so much pain. no one will take me for pain management. even with sub i cant function. found out in suboxone info that with long acting opioids in ur system, especially methadone u can experience sever withdrawal and even death. i sent this info to the doctor since this happened and also a letter. i feel hopeless. I truly want and need to take care of my babies and home. i cannot make it. i dont know what pain management doctor will ever help me now with my record. and or this situation following me. What am i going to do?

Have you ever gotten to the root of what is causing your pain issues?

As to pain management, it may be hard to find someone else to treat you, but I can try looking, what area are you in?

I am posting a reply to the person who replied to me. Looking for VERNON. I am in Ohio. near West lafayette. I did get a referral sent by my psychiatrist and the doc office should have got it tues. but they havent called for appointment scheduling. I am so afaid of calling. if they deny to care for me i believe im unable to take it. i cant even write this without sobbing. I have degenerative disc disease. possibly sciatica. and recent diagnosis of fibro. but doc diregards the deg disc disease. I need help. i want to take care of me and my babies. somebody has to take me. i dont know who i can call. an advocasy of some sort. I will be looking for you on here. i didnt know the post last time even worked and found this by chance. your repl is so important. im so glad i found it . if any one else read it and can help id appreciate it.

Rachel, I am very sorry that you are suffering like this, it's terrible to see anyone go through this type of thing.

If they haven't called you an appointment, yet, it is probably just because they are very busy, so you may have to be patient for a few days, or just call them yourself. Some places won't call you to set up an appointment, even if they get the referral, they wait for you to call.

I have also found information on some other pain management doctors that are listed as being in that area, however, I don't know how close they are to you, what type of treatment they provide or what types of insurance/payment they accept, because I just have their contact listing, however, here are a few you can check into:

hi my name is Janet. I am going through what you are for no reason. Its terrible the way they are treating people. I have been on methadone for degenerative disc disease 13 yrs. treated by pain mng of anestheology , with Hydracodone as back up med. I am being cut off bc i would do 5 needle injections. figure that out. I am going through withdrawls myself.
there is a center for pain in syracuse. i went to i just happened to get a dr. who didn't care for me bc of not doing 5 needle injections. I m ready to leave this whole area and go bk out west. Icannot live in my pain neither. send me your number. thankx

Rachel I truly hope you are ok. I've been taking subs for years for pain and just had hip replacement. I've done this before too. I'm 30 y/o male btw. I found that The subs mainly treated my deppression. And that in turn eased the physical pain. But immediately following surgery suboxone is s***! Yes, you just had precipitated wd. An 8 mg sub is enough to solve the strongest of addictions. I was taking 4 80 mg oxy a day and it helped.
