Thanks nicoles, I called a lot of doctors the last 2 months and have the names numbers and what hip they take or if they just take cash only.. Lol I went to a doctor a couple days ago and paid for myself to get put on suboxone but I can't afford paying each month and I really need a doctor and I'm not having any luck with mdwise.. So if I change my insurance Monday to anthem do you know of any good doctors around indianapolis area?? Sorry for all the messages.. I don't really know much about suboxone and what doctors to go too..

Renee: Aspire provides all counseling needed in order to get suboxone. It is all done at the same facility. Often times you can see the doc and do counseling in the same day. Both have proven very useful so far in my journey

I have a question.. I went a head and made a appointment at a sub doctor and paid the cash for it. Now if I switch my insurance and get a doctor for a appointment next month should tell them the place I went to and got put on suboxone so they will have the record? Because I won't have perks or tabs in my system in a month right? Or will it take longer for them to get out of my system since I was taking 15-20 of them a day until I stopped taking them the other day, plus I have been taking them for about 17 years or a little longer...

So if I switch I won't have insurance for a month? I called a few places and they told me they take anthem and not mdwise.. I have been calling around for almost two months trying to find a place to take mdwise hip but they all say not we take mhs or anthem... I think it would probably be best for me to switch my insurance because I don't think I will find a place to take me...

Hi tophy... I personally wouldn't recommend changing your insurance until you decide on the doctor that you know you want to go to. If you change it now and then find a doctor that doesn't take your new coverage then you're back to square one. Once you do change it, the process doesn't take long. I think it might've taken a week or even less. You might not have a new card that fast but you can get the policy information that you'll need over the phone. Good luck to you. I'm not an expert but I've been through the struggle.... And am still learning. I know if one day is terrible, the next is going to be better. The one thing that I want to try to emphasize to people, is if you are blessed to find a good doctor, that gives you what you need not to be sick all the time, then please don't get comfortable and end up failing a drug panel. I did that and it took a long time to get back out of that hole. Good luck!!!! Have a great day everyone!!!

Well thank you guys for all the advice and I really appreciate it.. I have another question. If I do change my insurance to anthem or mhs how long would I have to wait to get cards or go to the doctor?? And do you think it would be better for me to switch it anthem

Renee: they took me after I went through detox in a facility. I had to do an intake assessment and saw the Dr. He started me on 12mg a day. I would say every situation is different and all you can do is try. I would explain your situation and stress to the dr your desire to be sober and stay sober. My dr is very understanding and forgiving. He is worth trying to get into his program.

I had anthem hip. It's very easy to call and switch your type, if you need to. Avon urgent care is very strict but if you truly are really then I say try them. A personal thing, that I've noticed, is that the Nigerian male doctors are the most laid back. When I was looking for names I made sure to put "Nigerian suboxone doctor" ... lol . it's worked out so far. Good luck to everyone

Also Logan, the time I went to the sub dr., he told me that anyone on suboxone has to see a psychologist or have one before he could a prove my medicine. I gave him a name of one that I was suppose to see but hadn't yet and I was able to get my meds. But my question is, does this aspire dr. office have their own psychologist/counseling at their office or do they provide this? The dr. that I had seen didn't and I had to provide my own. I'm just wondering because that would be nice if they did. I looked at their website. It seems to be a good place for support.

@ nicole. What type of h.i.p. do u have.....mdwise, mhs, or anthem...h.i.p. ???

Logan, what is the starting process like? Do you think they will take me if this is my situation, I was prescribed sub by a dr. Once, 1 time, and didn't go back becuz of insurance, then I got back on pain pills, but I take those or subs, whatever I can find. Do they start u off on a certain set amount or do they have u sit there and administer bits until the amount they thinks helps. I just ask because that's what I've heard of drs. doing, but the dr. I seen started me right off on 2 8mg a day. Well I guess I will just have to see.

Tophy: I go to aspire and go for classes 1 time a week. The only time I may have to go multiple times in a week is if the Dr isn't in on the day I have my class. They do really good work and am happy with the results of the program thus far.

Is Franklin closer to you than Indy Tophy? Also the last time I checked a few months ago, Avon urgent care does take hip Anthem but does not mdwise. You should call medicaid and ask when your able to switch but don't switch yet until u call around to the drs. And see which type of h.i.p they take and if they have openings. It takes a month also for the insurance to switch. I am in the same boat. I've been addicted for 4 years. Suboxone has saved me in many ways. I've been so over wanting to quit the only thing that keeps me from it is the withdrawl now. I have 4 kids, job, school so it's really hard to lay around w.d when I have no one to help me out at home and I have to be able to get up to go to work. I've even got thro and over the physical part, but after 2 months I was still so tired all the time. I truly believe the best way to quit is to be weened off like with suboxone. I've managed to stay around 1 mg a day. I will let everyone know what I find out as far as Drs.

I'm praying for anyone that's battling this monster. People can say what they want, but suboxone has literally saved my life. I don't go to this place anymore but if no one has tried Avon urgent care, then it's worth a try. They took my HIP, before I got insurance through my job. I don't have their number, but they're easy to Google. Don't give up!! I still have rough days but there's nothing better than the peace of mind I have now. It will get better.

Yeah I don't have a problem going to the classes but the lady told me that I would probably won't be approved to come because how far away I live but like I told them the places in Richmond ain't taking anyone plus they don't take hip insurance. So I would have to travel if I want help.

I really need to find a suboxone doctor that takes mdwise hip or change it to one of other carriers... I don't know what I'm goin to do.. I have pain pills for a really long time and now that I want and need help I can't find a doctor that. Accepts my insurance.

Most drs do at first until they can gain ur trust and kno your serious. Then They will have u come less often. I live in Indy and was driving to franklin to see my dr I had to go to classes 3 times a week. It was to much but now I see it was worth it. All the people that I know that have been long time patients tell me the same, at first u have to go more often and do classes maybe then the dr. Patient establish trust and it goes easier.

Okay I called that doctor office but they said that I would have to come in like 4 days a week and I live 40 minutes away from Indy so I guess they will have to let me know

Thanks. I've been looking a long time. I was also going to say that you are able to switch which h.i.p. plan that you have one a year in the open enrollment period from like mdwise to anthem or mhs. I was going by to do this. But I figured there has to be a dr. somewhere. I will let everyone know. And I my have a few more Drs. Names that except it. Thanks

They said that they will have to call me back and let me know if I am approved to come there because they said with me living in hagerstown indiana that it's a far drive for me to see them 3 days a week and to see the doctor in indianapolis 1 day a week but I told them I can drive no problem... I guess I will find out... I really need to find a suboxone doctor because I don't want to take drugs no more.. I have been on pain meds since I was 17 and I'm 34 now... Its like when I know I need help I can't find a doctor that takes my mdwise hip insurance... Thanks for the information
