Suboxone 8mg 2mg Lowering Dosage

I have been take 1/2 of 8mgs of suboxone. I tried cutting back on my own and went into withdrawals, only because I was going to a heart Dr and did not know if he was going to do a procedure, which he did not. I told my Dr about it and now she wants me to go from a 1/2 8 milligram to cutting the half into. 1/8 that's how I went into withdraws . I don't know what to do. Janet.

It is normal to experience some withdrawal effects, when lowering the dosage of such a medication. As listed by the FDA, they may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache and depression.

However, they should not be severe enough to be dangerous. The best thing to do is follow your doctor's instructions and take it easy for a few days, while doing so.

Janet, keepbcutting back,don't go forward with them, they are not healthy, I went from 1 8mg a day for a month them 4mg a month and then 2mg!
