Suboxine For Pain?

Does anyone know if suboxine can be used for pain. i have fibromylgia and have ruptured disks and pinched syacitia nerves. im currently on 3 5mg of loritabs and 3 300mg of neurotin a day for pain mag. but it dosnt really work most days. i tried suboxin one day and it helped my pain much more than my meds. was i imagining it or does it really help.

Suboxone can help with pain, although it's probably not nearly as potent as other narcotic pain meds. It could be that you had imagined it to be more potent than other previous treatment options. I believe your thoughts are just as real as what's in front of you.

Has anyone else had success using Suboxone for pain?

I have been using oxi for over a year.I have an extremly bad back 30 years hiking but my addictive tendencies made it dangerous because I drink with it. I cleaned up indetox with the taper Methadone that was good Now 8 months later Im screwed up and done my whole script in a matter of days I was in full blowen WD with fentanel patches they still give me a small oxi fill in also Sooo sick ready to slit my throat My friend came in and gave me a couple Suboxin I took two under my toung and wow 15 minutes later I wasnt sick anymore.I have crontic pain Does this help. Im so tired of the money every thing additive ups and downs any wdrawel is the worst.Does this pill take away pain?I just feel normal what a treat.Do you have with Drawel with it ?And do other people misuse it? Is it still a narcotic? thats for responding

I know this is an old post but maybe you both will see this if you haven't found answers. I am 36, female. I have had 2 micro-d's at the L5-S1 region. I have permanant nerve damage & scat tissue growing around nerves. After 5 years of taking every kinds of pain pill/patch imaginable(which mind you, never took my pain down worth a s***) I became not only dependent but addicted to the meds. There is a huge difference between the two but I won't go into that rt now, if you don't know the difference, google it:). I also have fibro, btw. So, I went thru detox & 4 miserable months of rehab/sober living. It's been almost a year now that I began that journey. So, I came home & tried everything that I hadn't tried yet for pain-it was always at least a 7. I had previously done everything you can think of so all I really had left was natural stuff. I had no luck. I started calling around, asking about PM(b/c the last 2 I used only wanted to do epidurals, even tho they never worked-that was the only way you could get your measly 90 lortab-I finally went to my GP who took care of my meds&thats when the trouble started). Anyway, every place I called were only doing epi they said & I knew what that meant-you have those & pay out the ass & you might get meds. Not a single dr I called would treat a chronic pain patient w/addiction w/suboxone(which I had started researching, for 4 months btw). Every sub dr wanted to charge outrageous amounts ($500) & wouldn't even apply it towards your insurance. It was insane!! These drs are ripping people off right & left. CP patients & addicts are the prime targets b/c we are at the end of our rope & will do almost anything for help. I could go to almost any dr & get oxy but no one would prescribe me off label sub to try. I finally found a dr that wasn't charging an arm & a leg & filed on my ins. Of course, now my insurance knows I'm an addict but at this point it didn't matter b/c I had no life. I could only concentrate in my pain, it had taken over my life. Now, I'm at the end of wk 2 on sub. It is the first time in 6 years that I have had so many days virtually pain free. Yes, there are times when I still hurt like hell but I would take this any day as opposed to my pain b4. Most days in at a 2 or lower!! That's nothing! I know I'll always have pain. It had changed my life. My son who is 10 even noticed it! It may not work for you but it is worth a try. I still take my neurontin for nerve pain (which to work, I e found u must take high dosages-u take 600 at least 4 times a day when they're really irritated). Depending on where you live, you will probably have an easier time finding a dr than I did. Alabama sux. Now as for addiction: you will not want your DOC. You won't need to take more than prescribed & run out early. You will be dependent but not addicted. When you & your dr think u should come off(in hoping I never have to come off unless it stops working!) you will be tapered and have very little w/d symptoms. There are horror stories all over but if you will notice they didn't come off then rt. Try reading over at sub talk. I actually emailed Dr. Junig w/questions & he answered me, more than once. There is a wealth of info over there. Good luck!

Nope you weren't imagining it... I've had 2 surgeries on my back and 2 on my neck..And I am so tired of the opiates ..years worth. Anyways I tried the suboxin and not only did I get pain releif I also didn't have any withdrawals from not taking oxy or percocets that I am prescibed. And have had for years, well I took my ? to my pharmasist and my doctor and they were both adiment that suboxin is a good non opiate drug. Ask your doctor but as for me I truelly recommend it. Problem is, is that it's expensive.. You may qualify for a low cost or free prescription.. ask your doctor. Well worth inquiring.

Yes I have been on suboxine films for 3 years 8mg/2mg they are the best they have a round orange pill or and little whit pill but the little white one doesn't work for anything it's very low low dose but yes I have horrible back pain from dancing for 13 years real dancing 7 days a week and I had broke my knee in a trampoline net and had to have reconstructed surgery and my hole shin bone replaced and 2 metal plates and 10 screws so what I'm saying is HECK it does majorly if ur not already on them I would get on them but tell them u would like the subloiung films only ( suboxine films 8mg/2mg I am on the to get off pain medicine but it does get rid of my pain before my knee would horrible hurt and my back I took that and it stopped completely they work way better than pain medicine even Percocet 10's and Oxy 's but it is addicting but if u don't take it yet or need it for help getting off opioid drugs ( pain medicine) if it's just for Paine u only need one day and they last 26 hours just one but I don't know if doctors would give u sub for just having pain everyone I know or at dr it's for getting off stuff so u I might have to lie and tell dr ur coming off laracet or any kind of pain medicine but u have to be clean when u go in to doc and just tell them u take almost 20 laracets a day and you want to try suboxine bc u research it and u had high reviews about the suboxine film make sure u say film but yes it very much does and gives u Entergy but if u have bad bad bad bad pain tell them u were taking about 40 laracets a or vicodine or any kind of that type of med bc I did that and took 3 for 1 month then 2 for 2 years then 1 1/2 for few months then know I'm at one but u can call a suboxine dr and ask if they give suboxine for that but if they say no then do what I said cuz if one doesn't the others don't either but I think it's strickly for getting off pain Meds I would say I'm taking about 40 laracets a day I have a high tolerance and I've done those for 8 years and I'm sick of it I want to get on suboxine films and tell them u looked it up and u had to have the laracets out of ur system first so u have been detoxing for 4 days and I want to get on Suboxin film. But yes it works!!!
