UpdatedIs stattera used for ADHD ? Is it the same as hypercon 10?

Hi Lorelle,
Yes, Strattera (Atomoxetine) is in fact used for the treatment of ADHD. And based on my research, Hypercon 10 is said to contain the same active ingredient (Atomoxetine); so both drugs 'should' act in the same manner.
Apparently, Hypercon 10 is manufactured in India by a company called Consern Pharma. However, I don't know anything about the legitimacy or efficacy of their products, since foreign medications aren't as strictly regulated as they are here in the US.
There are loads of counterfeit drugs out there, so I do wonder if you ordered this medication from a reputable pharmacy?
You can learn more about this drug on the page for Atomoxetine Details
Has anyone else tried these tablets?
Does stattera have that amphetamine effect like Ritalin or vyvance ? Anyone ?
Does anyone know if Strattera has the anphetamines in it like Addreall and Ritalin?
Strattera is a non-stimulant medication for ADHD. It may be prescribed alone or alongside stimulants. Every brain is individual, and each one is going to have its own response to any given medication. Some people detest Stratterra. In my (really severe) case of adult ADD, Strattera has been a lifesaver. My psychiatrist, therapist, and husband could all tell when I hadn't been taking Stratterra. My psychiatrist ordered genetic tests that rated the main ADHD medications according to how likely they were to help me, and identified some that should be used only with caution. The test results matched perfectly with my actual experience. My dream-team of meds includes Stratterra, Vyvanse, Intuniv, Welbutrin, and a 10-mg dose of simple amphetamine salts in the late afternoon. A fabulous combination that really gave me big relief from ADHD problems. Most important was Strattera. If I skipped it for a few days, my psychiatrist, therapist, and husband ALL could tell pretty quickly. Why? Because the ADHD symptoms became aggravated, my anxiety went up, and my mood would sink. My work performance would suffer (I am a professional in the health care field.) At this point, I'm taking just a few things. Can't afford to take all that works, definitely can't afford Stratterra. Unfortunate.
