Stop Taking Citalopram?
UpdatedMy son has been taking 20 mg citalopram for a few years and started with
anxiety and depression issues a week ago and the doctor added 10 mg to
add to his 20 on Tuesday. He seemed fine and on Saturday he said that he felt
weird. I don't know whether to stop it and if so how do you stop the 10 mg?
Please advise.

Hello, Joan! How is your son doing?
He might be experiencing side effects, which would be normal, if his dose has been raised.
What types of symptoms is he experiencing?
The FDA classifies this medication as an SSRI and its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight gain.
