I have been taking Chantix, never a thought of suicide, dreams were as usual (weird) and have been smoking less but have not completely stopped. I'm working on it with the Lords help/blessing, I too will be a success story. I have zero regrets about using this smoking cessation aid.

White oval pill with an F on one side and blank on the other ## Hello, Nick! How are you? I'm sorry, but I haven't been able to find anything that matches this description, yet. However, I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. That obscurity of the imprint leads me to suspect that it is an over the counter medication. Does anyone recognize this tablet? ## I think it is OTC Nicorette Mini-Lozenges, 4mg. ## Yes that is exactly what it sounds like as my friend gave me one the other day & its the same

I STOPPED SMOKING ON 3/22/2016. NOW I HAVE SEVERE PAIN IN MY LEGS AND ARMS. THEY FEEL LIKE A TIGHT RUBBER BAND. I cant take it anymore. ## Hello, Nicole! How are you doing? Has there been any change? This medication has been known to cause pain, but not edema and swelling, as reported by the FDA. Typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and dry mouth. Are you on any other medications? If would most likely be best to have this checked out for your own health and safety. ## Please ignore the above poster. Angioedema is listed as a side effect. A SERIOUS one at that. Call your Doctor IMMEDIATELY. ## I have been taking chantix for 6 weeks now. I am interested in joining this forum. Thank you

Will it hurt me if I take chantix every 8 hours? I work 12 hour shifts at night. ## You should take it in compliance with your doctor's dosing instructions. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings, and weight changes. If you're taking it twice daily, that still fits around your 12 hour work shift, you could take a dose right before you go to work and the other one, when you clock out. Is there anything else I can help with?

Can i just continue with .05 mg twice a day instead of 1.0 mg twice a day? Kinda scared of taking 2mg a day of Chantix. ## What scares you about it? Have you been experiencing any odd, or dangerous side effects? The FDA lists the typical ones as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and weight changes.

Hi, I recently started the nur-isterate injection. I had my first injection late august and my due day to get it again is next week. I have unprotected intercourse due to being protected and it being more spontaneous in the moment. I have been experiencing breast pain and nausea the last week. I'm not sure if it's the nur-isterate wearing off or symptoms of me having stopped smoking. I stopped smoking about two weeks ago. I stopped smoking because I was sick and wasn't getting better even after being on antibiotics. Any advice if it's possible for me to be pregnant or just symptoms from having stopped smoking? ## Hello, Laura! Those are not typical symptoms of having stopped smoking. It is most likely due to the injection wearing off, but there is also a chance that it m...

I don't drink or take any medications. No history of anxiety or depresion. Would chantix be relatively safe for me to use? ## Hello, John! How are you? It should be, but only your doctor can decide if it is appropriate for you to try. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thanks, Verwon. I'll ask him about it when he calls with my lipid results.

Since I have been taking Chantix I have not been able to climax and I think it's affecting my libido. ## Hello, Shy! How are you doing? I am on probation for a minor marijuana incident, was sentenced a month to the day of taking a 10 panel metabolite drug screen for a pre-op. I had marijuana the day before my sentence and was a chronic user for approximately 5yrs prior. I used the 10 panel test to try to save money from having to take another test for probation but tested positive for cannabinoids. My test results did not show any levels so my P.O. is trying to have me take a super expensive confirmation test. I am unable to work, waiting for surgery with no income. A- shouldn't the test I took come back with levels since one of the things screened for was nicotine? B- what prescriptions could cause a higher than normal level of cannabinoids?

I've been on Chantix for five days and down to 4 cigs a day. Will I ever quit smoking? I don't think about smoking as much as before. I have smoked for 35 years so I really hope this helps. Thank you Chantix. ## Hello, Nellie! How are you? It has successfully helped many people quit smoking. When is your quit date? The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including abnormal dreams, nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, weight changes and trouble sleeping. And yes, it doesn't have to be taken with a full meal. Is there anything else I can help with?

I'm tapering off of opiate pain meds, but I'm constantly sick to my stomach. I consume marijuana, and it helps tremendously. My Dr has known that I have been using marijuana for the whole time that I've been seeing him. Well, on my last visit he not only lowered me more than we had previously talked about, but he also said that I HAD to stop having marijuana or else I'd be kicked out. So I tried, and I couldn't keep anything down. I'm NOT a pain pill seeker, I'm trying to STOP taking pain meds altogether, and just use cannabis. I'm already driving to the tri cities (I live in Yakima Wa). I'm at my wits end. Is there any Dr in Yakima that will help me? ## I'm not one bit educated in Washington's laws. I will tell you this though, here in MI we ...

I've been taking chantix for 6 weeks now. My quit date was on the 17th but I ran out of cigarettes on the 12th so I said to my self... today is a good day to quit... That was a month ago. Only side effects I got was the dreams, although I was not as happy as I usually am but my husband says that just means your like a normal person now...haha very funny. I am so happy that I am a non smoker when I read people quit after 2 weeks that scared me cause I didnt think it would work. But it did!! Little bit of nausea but its worth it not to smell anymore and to breath again. It says to take for 3 months and that is what im going to do... Thank so much Chantix ## Hello, Loni! How are you? I couldn't remember if I took my blue chantix. So I took another one.it was lime 2 hrs apart. I feel light headed when I stand up an little sick to my stomach. Just wanting to know what will happen. ## Hello, Betty! How are you? It could be dangerous, if it caused Serotonin syndrome, but that's not highly likely if it just happened ones. Did you experience any adverse effects? It is most likely to cause more severe side effects, which as listed by the FDA, may include nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth. It would also be a good idea to inform your doctor, that way they can watch for any potential issues.

How can I get this medicine at an affordable price. my insurance will not cover and charges my $25 for 15 pills. On fixed income and cannot afford. Any information will be mostly appreciated. Email address {edited for privacy} ## Have you considered applying for any type of patient assistance program to help cover a percentage of the cost of your medication? There are also a number of "prescription drug coupons" that can be found online through various search engines like Google, as a last resort option. Patient assistance programs aren't always available, as it largely depends on the manufacturer; but if you're goal is to just save some money, I think some of these coupons can save you anywhere from 10-75% off your next script. In the meantime, I'd recommend asking ...

I recently weaned myself off of Chantix. Prior to taking it, I had already been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder, but it was totally manageable. I had only had one full blown anxiety attack before getting on Chantix and none during. However, in the week since I have been off of it, I have been seriously anxious. Like a mini panic attack a day anxious. I've made an appt with my doctor, but I wanted to know if anyone else had experienced this sort of thing. I feel like a freak. :( ## Please don't feel like a freak, such experiences are completely normal and we all go through them, some more than others, so there's no reason to feel that way. And yes, when you stop taking a medication like Chantix, it can cause rebound type effects, which may include anxiety attacks. Learn mo...

I now am on diovan for blood pressure and since I started taking Chantix feel very anxious and nervy.. I am a very grateful 43 year young woman. I quit smoking for the 1st time after smoking for 24 years. I was having an elective surgery and my surgeon said I had to quit 14 days before my procedure. Which I ended up quitting 12 days before. He nicotine tested me the day of my procedure to be sure I hadn't smoked. I let him know it had only been 12 days, and I was able to have my procedure! I began taking Chantix on 3/27/08 and by the next morning they already tasted bad. I had my last cigarette at 7am on 3/30/08. I took Chantix for 30 days and have never craved or smoked again. It's been 7 years and 8 months. When I think back its hard to imagine ever smoking. Which my seem crazy since I smoked over half my life. The love of my life always tells me it's hard to even imagine t...

Hey there, I have tried the patch before and am currently trying again. I was classified as a heavy smoker (more like two heavy smokers), and wanted to do things right this time....but I'm impatient! I was wondering if anyone knows how Step 1 one truly compares to smoking 10-20 cigarettes a day. I ask because I'm considering cutting Step one in half (3 weeks), moving on to Step 2 (I have 13 days-worth from leftovers), and finishing with 17 days of Step 3 (again, including leftovers from my last attempt a few months ago). I don't want to waste the extras, and I figure the withdrawals will come whether it's been three or six weeks, I just need to be strong. I didn't truly want to quit last time. I thought I was strong enough and it would be easy. This time I know it...
