The closest match I could find to this is a white round pill about the size of a tylenol with the imprint "M M" on one side and a cobalt logo on the other side;
this being Metformin (500 mg), from Canada.
Does this sound like it could be a match?
If not, I'm thinking that it may have been either discontinued or is not available in the US.
One thing you can do is take the pill over to your local pharmacy and see if they have any particular way of testing for ingredients. Unfortunately there's not much else you can do in a situation where the pill is manufactured outside of the U.S, unless you have a way to contact the manufacturer or the source where you got it from.
