He was given samples of Lunesta and on the 4th night of taking the 3mg tablet, he got out of the bed, got fully dressed and I found him on the driveway with a bullet hole in his head. This 58 year old grandfather, who loved his life, his family, his job and everyone he met was gone with no anticipation of what he did. Illegal drugs are no more deadly than this drug, why is Lunesta legal and pushed by doctors?

This is an orange pill I got when I refilled my prescription for generic Ambien. I tried it before. I read the information from other people on this website. I always cut them in half and take half at a time. These are really, really bitter and foul tasting but they do work. Luckily the recommended dose was good enough. ## Thanks for comments on the orange generic ambien -- that was info I was looking for.

I occassionally like to take Melatonin to help me fall asleep. Tomorrow night I need to get to bed extra early and I know that just taking a Melatonin will not do the job. I have some leftover Ambien so I was wondering if there are any implications to taking both Ambien and Melatonin before bed tomorrow? ## There are no interactions listed, but this site is not medical professionals and not all supplements, such as Melatonin, are studied for possible interactions with medications. Why would you need to use both, anyway? I'd think it would just be wise to use the Ambien if needed and skip adding the other, just to be on the safe side. Do you have any other questions?

Hi everyone. I'm just wondering which medication most of you consider to be the best sleep aid? Of course I've heard of the ever popular Ambien, Lunesta, etc. There are also over the counter products such as Tylenol PM and Advil PM which combine Diphenhydramine with Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen respectively. Lastly, there are certain natural treatments to help one sleep such as Melatonin. I'm looking for a consensus as to which one you think would be the most effective with the least side effects. Any thoughts appreciated!
