Side effects noticed by me for my nearby user are: "Nervousness, excitability, heat intolerance, sometimes rapid heart rate and some sleep problems". Thanks

My son is 24 yrs down syndrome. He is having thyronorm 50 mcg every morning. But he feels lazy and sometimes he goes to sun and stands outside on very warm days. I think he feels chilly. why is it?

Mcg means microgram which is much smaller than mg that is miligram..

I am a 21 year old male , diagonised with hypothyrodism about 3 moths ago, i inially neglected it but later i had to take it because i had severe constipation and weight gain. now after taking thyronorm 50mcg i havent seen a day with constipation but my weight is still hard to reduce and i keep getting a cold very often. what do you conclde?

I have been taking thyronorm 50mcg for 3 years now. I currently have no access to thyronorm so i started taking synthroid 50mcg. Are these identical or can changing the brand have some side effects?

I'm from india..my Hb (8.5). T3=6.86, T4=16.20, TSH =6.26. doctor suggested for me to take thyronorm-25MCG first...after that they said to take 50 MCG,.and they said it can make weight reduce and swelling of neck will also reduce. but if it will cure or not ..i dont know...,im feeling over weight. my height was 160cm and weight is 74.. If im eating healthy food only then why am I gaining weight? ....if u want to suggest something please reply. thanks for reading ......my email id {edited for privacy}.

hello Dr. , I am mansi mishra . In 2008 my weight suddenly increased than I tested my thyroid , that time my TSH is more then the limit than i took thyronorm 50 mcg which suggested by my doctor. after that i loss my weight till 2 years (from 76 to 61). after that my weight again increased till now. i tested my TSH, T3 and T4 there is no problem . i am on dieting and exercise too , but my weight is not under control now my weight is 84 from 61. i m very tensed ... what should i do to decrease my weight. plz tell me

main cause for thyroid is stress , tension , anxiety .
she must've gone through a lot .
medications are just a part of it . but if you really want to help her and see that shes happy . make her happy .saty with her. share with her. make her feel shes not alone.
she maybe be hiding the hurtful hings deep inside.
that leads to more health issues. as you've explained.

Consult an endocrinologist that dose needs to be adjusted and doc might give some calcium + vitd3 supplement or necessary supplements.

It's better to follow Ayurvedic treatment....... no use taking thyronorm....... it affects a person's daily life... can't lead a normal n happy life taking such medicines.

mcg means micro gram means lesser that the mg . Thyronorm is thyroxine sodium tablets which is required to u in little amount to reduce ur hypothyroid hence it is given in mcg i mean micro gram

I have seen sometimes you reply to questions here. Please please reply my question also.
Dr. don't tell about this problem. My wife's TSH is high, but her weight is very less. Only 42 kg and height is 5.5".
