I have anxiety prob and sr prescribed etirest for 1 for morning and same as in the night. Is there any side effect of this med. Can I stop the medicine.? Is any problem to discontinue the medicine? Please tell Dr.... ...

All medications carry the risk of causing side effects, the U.S. FDA lists the ones for this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings and irritability.

You should take it, as directed by your doctor and should not stop it abruptly, as doing so can cause a risk of seizures.
