Side-effects Of Ecospirin. Any Alternatives?

I had been prescribed Ecospirin 150 mg once daily after a mild heart attack in 2001. In 2005 I started experiencing ringing in my ears. In 2007 I started experiencing piles. In 2009 I experienced bleeding ulcers. Doc said these are all known side-effects of long-term use of Ecospirin, and finally discontinued it for me. Instead, he has prescribed Clopi---. Can anyone guide me as to whether it is a good substitute for Ecospirin, and whether it too has side effects from long term usage?

Clopidogrel is a good substitute.You will not have the side effects as caused by aspirin.
