Should I Tell The Doctors I've Taken A Few More Than My Prescribed Suboxone

Omg. This week I would of done anything for pills. Lost my job, boyfriend cheated, kid with suicide attempt, found out I have cancer. I'm on two 8mg a day and I took 3 for a few days for the psychological feeling of relief. Life couldn't get any worse. I will be out Tuesday and I'm not due till Thursday. What do I do?

I’m in medicine . Be honest . Go to the ER or your doctor and tell them . We know when someone is being dishonest . They will usually work with you or come up with another plan. Be careful . I went through the opposite. I want to stay on 4-6 NORCO a day because it’s easier to manage . I’m pretty severe and inoperable spinal case 2 surgeries and plates . They gave me morphine long acting which is better pain control but I don’t want it . I go off slowly every 3 months by tapering . Then stay off a week or two . Just be honest . It’s your secrets that kill you .

Suboxone has a ceiling effect, that means that if you take more pills you wont get more effect. The problem is you will run short before your next script.

I have done it and I have been honest with my dr. How many do you have left? And do you have enough at least to split so you don't go into withdrawls

I ended up calling my doctor and letting him know everything and he was more thankful I didn't use again. That was more important than me taking two extra doses.
