Taking 290mg of Linzess 40 minutes before first meal on an empty stomach. Before I'm even finished eating I get severe cramps and run to the bathroom and have bad diarrhea. Should I be taking a lower dose? I only take the Linzess every other day. I have IBS with constipation and colitis.

Yes, you may want to speak to your doctor about trying to lower dosage, for awhile to see how it works for you.
The cramping and diarrhea can be normal side effects, as listed by the FDA, but the lower dose may help mitigate them. Other side effects may possibly include nausea and dizziness.
