Yes, Suboxone is used to help treat drug addiction. It is a narcotic that does not have the same side effects of tradition narcotics, so no high effect, but since it is a narcotic, it does help the withdrawals. It also contains a substance the neutralizes other opiates if you try to take them at the same time you are undergoing Suboxone treatment.
