Round Orange 970 Suboxone (Page 2)
(Newest replies first)
Updated
My pharmacy recently switched to a round orange Suboxone with the numbers 970 on it and it burns my mouth pretty bad and doesn't seem to be as effective as my old ones. Has anyone else had this problem? Why does it burn?
Re: Kevin (# 1)
Yes this is the 1st time I've took these certain tablets and I could not believe how bad they are burning and its like it's got the taste of clove oil and it burns like it too
Re: Marie (# 10)
Right?!? For a second the way the people above are describing it makes them sound very appealing/appetizing... And then my brain kicks in for a second and reminds myself that "creamy marshmallowey chocolatey" triggers the part of my brain that wants snacks and that type of satisfaction is indeed no where near what this or any other meds are supposed to be fulfilling. I can't even use the excuse of just thinking that I would like to try anything other then these new 970s I just got, but the truth is multiple people here have said those are unfortunately, actually worse then these are!
Burns mine to. Just now took mine. Never had them before. Do they work good? I'm use to strips and subutex.
Re: Linners88 (# 7)
I was just switched from the 6 sided pill to a round one I took my dose this morning and it burned like I was holding hot sauce under my tongue I do not like them and think I’ll be calling my pharmacy tomorrow
They do burn. It’s hard to keep them in your mouth.
Re: Linners88 (# 7)
Yes they do burn and I don’t think it’s an allergic reaction or someone’s taking too many a day! If that was the case then why are we having problems with the other medication that we’ve not been on these are the only ones that bird it’s hard to keep them under your tongue. I think the company that makes these need to see why they are the only ones that do this! We ever Denteley or not having an allergic reaction or taking more than what we’re supposed to these just burn.
Re: odious vermin (# 9)
What are the white hot cocoa marshmellows????? Curious
same dissatisfaction...they sting in the mouth, and are quite noticeably less effective. I've been given 4 or 5 varieties of generics now, these 970s, along with those white hot cocoa marshmallows, are of the worst yet.
Re: Linners88 (# 7)
Yes these Sun Pharma ones are awful! Multiple people I've talked to all say the same thing. The slight burn is the main thing. I had my mom try a small piece of mine because she also gets her own suboxone and she as well noticed that weird little burn. I was like okay greAt glad to know its not me. Ya apparently they are similar to the original stop sign oranges. I'm definitely going to try to ask my pharmacy about those other kind if they are really not able to get the orange Amneal.
Re: Marie (# 6)
Thanks for the response & information! I personally don't care for these new sun silicone tablets..a few other people I know are also complaining, it does burn and tingle my mouth. But everyone is different . I have not even asked my pharmacy.. but I will next time! And I keep itching but I'm really hoping that could be a new fabric softer issue and not the change up of these tablets )-: lol.
Re: Linners88 (# 5)
Lol no i don't think that has anything to do with it. The regular strips are still available and both the generic strips and these new Sun Pharma tablets are from different manufacturers. If people want to inject theres nothing new about these new ones that would prevent people from doing what they already do I guess. From what I've gathered there must be some kind of shortage. My husband talked to his pharmacy which is different from mine and they stated that they've been trying to order the Amneal orange kind and they can't seem to get a order through. They stated they would rather get the Amneal orange kind because they are cheaper. I have also heard of these other orange kind these hexagon ones with 8n/m they are in the same company as the Amneal oddly. The Mallinkcrodt. I've been tryi ng to get more info because I'm curious to try those kind.
My pharmacy here in Blair county PA did the same thing. I hate these pills they do burn n numb my mouth, I also get overheated on these. I want the regular orange ones back. I also hear there are new strips out..ether it's a false rumor or not I heard they switched strips and pills due to people not being able to inject these kind. ?
The pharmacies in my area are all stating that they cannot order the Amneal orange kind for some reason. I have not seen them on the FDA shortage or discontinuation list so I am puzzled and frustrated. I recently got a whole month of the 970s. Not nearly as effective as the others. Ugh
I too recently got the 970 suboxone and burned my mouth badly. Why change from one orange pill to a different orange pill.IDK
Do you know why your pharmacy switched generics? What kind were you getting before? My pharmacy was getting the orange AN 415 by Amneal but they are stating they cannot get those anymore and have switched to the Sun orange 970s. I really dislike them as well but I dislike the white Actavis even more. Having a hard time finding my regular kind now.
Hello OhioKing,
Sorry to hear that you are having so much trouble with your medication. I was taking a look into it and I've read a couple of other users that said they had a similar experience. It seems that most of these stories boiled down to either an allergic reaction or that their doctor had them taking too many dosages a day and that in the end the doctor had them go from 4x a day to 2x a day.
Either way I suggest that you consult your doctor immediately in case it turns out to be an allergic reaction to the medication. Burning of the mouth is definitely not normal and you should have that looked at.
Best of luck and have a wonderful day.
