Hi John,
I've only come across one medication so far that fits your description of an imprint with an R inside of a diamond. The description of the pill does not mention any specific details other than the imprint being "4005 R inside diamond". This particular pill is identified as Meprobamate 200 mg; which is used for treatment of anxiety.
If that information isn't of much help, I did also find that the manufacturer of pills with this logo is Watson Pharmaceuticals. It may be worth your time to contact them directly via email or phone to get an answer straight from the source.
