Rosuvas 10 Side Effects

My wife has high LDL (220). She has been prescribed Rosuvas 10 tablets. I wish to know about the side effects of the drug.

Common side effects of Rosuvas (rosuvastatin) can include any of the following:

constipation
heartburn
dizziness
difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep
depression
joint pain
cough

More severe side effects can include:

muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness
lack of energy
fever
chest pain
yellowing of the skin or eyes
pain in the upper right part of the abdomen
nausea
extreme tiredness
unusual bleeding or bruising
loss of appetite
flu-like symptoms
sore throat, chills, or other signs of infection
rash
hives
itching
difficulty breathing or swallowing
swelling of the face, throat, tongue, lips, eyes, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs
hoarseness
numbness or tingling in fingers or toes

I am 68 years old lady. I am taking tab Olmesar 20 for BP and storvaz 10 for cholesterol. As in the recent lipid and blood sugar test, the trigiirizide was found high, I was advised by doctor to switch to Rosuvas f10. From website, I find the side effects of Rosuvas f10 is more! I am a bit confused concerned and worried. Please advice.

I have been on Rosuvas 10 mg for cholesterol for the last two months. It was substituted for Atocor 10mg. Now a days I am getting severe thigh and knee joint pains, shoulder pains and my fingers have developed rigidity in the joints. I would like to know whether these are side effects of Rosuvas 10? Please advise.

I contacted my Orthopaedic surgeon as well as Cardiologist. Both have confirmed side effects of Rosuvas 10 - i.e. Muscle pain, joint pain, dizziness, constipation. Rosuvas 10 has been stopped and I presently have lot of relief from pain. I am also allergic to sulpha so Rosuvas may not be suitable for me.
