Someone gave me these as pain meds what r they?? ## Hello, Brittany! How are you? This is manufactured by Heritage Pharmaceuticals and they actually list it as containing 500mgs of Metronidazole, which is an antibiotic. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?

Can you please tell me - what country are you in? Secnidal (active ingredient Secnidazole) is used in the treatmen of amoebiasis, giardiasis, and trichomoniasis. It is closely related to Metronidazole. Some information on Metronidazole indicates that it does have an effect on the vaginal flora (bacteria), so I would not rule out what you are experiencing as a possibility. I have rosacea. It was under control with Metrogel. It has flared up badly. I have started taking Brintellix, and I want to know if Brintellix causes rosacea. ## Hello, Mary! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem you've had. Brintillex has been known to cause facial redness, as listed by the FDA. Other side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, restlessness and dry mouth. If it's caused your rosacea to flare that badly, you might need to try a different medication. Conjunctivitis, as listed by the NIH, can sometimes have multiple causes, including viruses, bacteria and allergies, thus proper treatment depends on the cause. An antibiotic will only help if it's bacterial in origin. This is a 500mg Metronidazole tablet, so it is an antibacterial agent and the FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, stomach pain and diarrhea. In September I went onto flagyl for BV. I had started spotting 2 weeks before my period due to the infection and then a couple of days on the antibiotic, it deactivated my pill (Yaz) and I got full on bleeding which led straight into my period. The doctor then prescribed meds to stop the bleeding which it did within a day with the BV cleared up. I had trouble with my period since then (starting a week early and lasting 7 days instead of 4). I figured my body needed time to readjust to the bcp again after the antibiotic. Hi I went to the clinic because my vagina was itchy after I had slept with my boyfriend without using protection. Hi everyone I have peripheral nerve damage and muscle damage. I took this medication in 2012, been having a lot of problems since then, not sure it's all because of this drug, but been looking at it recently. Will Metronidazole 500 mg help my boyfriend if he has a UTI ??? We have not been with anyone else so we know it is not a venereal disease, but do not know what it is and they want $450.00 co-pay at the hospital. In other words will the Metronidazole 500 mg take it away if it is a UTI???? ## Hello, Nicole! How is your boyfriend doing? If he is showing symptoms, he needs to see a doctor. It isn't good, nor safe to try to diagnose and treat it yourselves. Metronidazole might not be the right medication to treat his problem. If he goes to the ER, they cannot demand the copay upfront, they have to see him and send him a bill, at a later time. Rather than put his life at risk, that would be the best thing to do, if you don't have a regular doctor. Is there anything else I can help with?

can you take flagyl and watson 801 together? ## Hello, Shawn! How are you? I didn't find any interactions listed between Flagyl and Hydroxyzine, but you should always double check such information to be sure. It may intensity some of the side effects, so you may experience more dizziness, drowsiness and nausea than usual. Is there anything else I can help with?

I do not take antibiotics because of severe reactions such as swollen eyelids and other issues.and also allergic to Flagyl. and possibly Levaquin. Also I believe antibiotics are over used and so far I have done without them for things everyone else takes them for such as Flu,colds and many other things. I use herbal products without most problems but now have a couple of painful tooth issues and perhaps some infections. I have no medical records to verify this due to many years of not having insurance or finances. I will see a dentist but having problems finding one that is more into natural products and low radiation x-rays.
