My relative has been taking Schizodon forte for a year and half. He is fine.should he conitnue taking the tablet or stop ? ## Sizodon Forte contains the active ingredient Risperidone, which is an antipsychotic that's used to treat Schizophrenia and several other mental disorders. Can somebody tell me all the side affects of risperlet I use 0,25mg at nite and works so well for my bipolar condition. I used epilim before and had severe side affects which I don't have any on risperlet the correct dose if I use 0,5mg I get drowsy in the morning so ill stick with 0,25mg works perfect and I feel well everyday without loosing my mind when shopping at super markets I also don't have sweaty hands and feet anymore which used to go into panic attacks thank God I've finaly got the right medication and dose to. Just need to see all side affects please help me and advise. I was switched to risperidone from Geodon about a month and a half ago. Since then, I have been experiencing problems with nausea and the feeling that I need to gag/dry heave. This occurs on a daily basis and can last all day long. Thursday, the 5th, my pdoc told me to stop taking the risperidone to see if this med was causing the problem. I woke up about 5:30 this morning after a tossing and turning sleep and felt just really out of sorts. Not nauseous, but somehow like my body was wanting to turn inside out, maybe like when you ache with a fever really bad. Could this be a withdrawal effect of stopping 1 mg risperidone. I am schizophrenic. Doctor has advised me to take Sulpitac 50mg twice daily. After taking the medicine upto 2months, I feel stressed in brain after some mental work and also suffer from constipation. I've been on risperidone for 12 to 13 months since march 2010. I had a stress induced nervous breakdown and went through pyschosis. During that time, I had alot of deep thoughts which I was hiding inside not telling anyone. I was afraid of the feeling of no one truly understanding what I was going through at the time. Also not being able to find the right answer to help with desperate feelings. After going through pyschosis, I was taken to the ER anf they found it wasn't due to mishaps of the chemicals in my brain, just due to stress. I was hallucinating and in a state of unreality. CAN I USE THIS PILL INSTEAD OR AS RISPERIDONE? ## This tablet contains 500mgs of Divalproex Sodium, also known by the name Valproate Semisodium, it is an anticonvulsant that also works as a mood stabilizer. But no, it is not comparable to or interchangeable with Risperidone, which is an antipsychotic that is used to treat various mental health disorders. Have you consulted your doctor? I am taking sizodon 4 mg for past 1 year. Earlier i have taken around 15 tablets(not sizodon) per day.Because of that, my weight has dramatically increased and feel always tired and sleepy.After taking sizodon, my weight reduced to normal and also active.I felt that i am completely cured,so is it necessary to continue taking tablet.your reply is most welcom ## Have you consulted your doctor? And, while you may feel better, it could be because you are taking the medication, in addition, if you suddenly stop taking it, it may cause rebound effects, that can be worse than the problem you started taking it to treat.
