Detakote Medication

can i take detkote with risperidone and also topiramate together i dont think so please let me know cause i dont get zeisures and thats what topiramate is for

Yes, Topirimate is an anticonvulsant, but it does have other medical uses, as well. Most anticonvulsants have also been shown to work as mood stabilizers.

As to taking all 3, there are some warnings about possible risks associated with taking the Depakote with Topirimate, as it may cause hyperammonemia encephalopathy and mixing the others can increase your risk of depression of the central nervous system.

However, this doesn't mean they can't be used together, it just means that your doctor must carefully consider the dosages and should be monitoring your for any potential problems.
