Rhodes/purdue Buprenorphine Hcl 8mg Rp B8 Vs Roxanne 54 411 (Page 39)
(Newest replies first)

Updated

I have made the switch from the 8mg films to 8mg buprenorphine tablets only. With all the research I've done and experience I do my best to stay away from actavis mylan and nowadays sandoz. I noticed everyone has enjoyed the Roxanne now westward generics amongst hi-tech coming in second/mylan. I have no experience with mylan bup and don't want to take the risk even as mylan has always been a waste imo. I'm not a fan of allergan (actavis) taking over watson so depending on the drug dispenses I most stay away. There are as of now 7 manufacturers of generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg (generic subutex). They are in order of my preferred with not much experience except with brand name:

*roxanne (now westward pharma)- 54 411
*hi tech- 8 ^(arrow)
*mylan- M924
*teva (allergen/activas owned) crooked b 799
*actavis- moon 153
*sun pharma- 460 white round
[And the brand new released generic made by Purdue and distributed by Rhodes Pharmaceuticals the new Rhodes generic]
*RP b8- white round bevelled and pretending edges.

I currently have had a smooth switch to the Roxanne/westward and declined mylan, actavis, teva, hi tech, sun pharma as most research and reviews conclude the Roxanne/westward generics the 54 411 seem to be best reviewed. I was unable to find the Purdue/Rhodes pharma newly released generic RB b8 imprinted generic. All I know is Rhodes and Purdue are professionals in the process of making quality meds and not just quality meds but pain relief medication, as they even were the company to CREATE oxycontin. I was able to come across one image of them on the web and they look very similar to the Roxanne 54 411s in size color and mostly shape except for the rhodes/Purdue ones protrude or kind of pop out on each side beyond the bevelled edges. They look really well made and on one side they have RP and otherside b 8 which the b and 8 are fairly far apart. I have been doing great from switching from brand films to the Roxanne westward 54 411s so far. I'm hoping to get some feedback by next month on these newly released rhodes/Purdue generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg. They are the newest and just released October 2017 and look very shinny and quality made. I'm hoping someone here who has tried both the Roxanne/westward and the new Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8 tablets. I am going to try and have my pharmacy special order the new Rhodes generics made by Purdue again imprinted RP b 8 white round shinny tablets fairly similar to the Roxanne but look better quality imo but do not have much experience with generic just brand and am very well versed on pharma companies and their medicine and their quality each one has.

Has anyone tried these new rhodes/Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8? How would you compare them to the Roxanne 54 411 tablets... I hope for a response or it will be trail and error for me when ordering Rhodes next month if i stay on this route and will see how they compare to the Roxanne/westward but will not be til a month away. Please if you have any experience with these generics and especially the new rhodes/Purdue one let me know. Again I was able to locate only one image of them and they look great. They do not look small like hi tech more like a combined Roxanne and mylan with the shininess and how they pop out on each side..they look a little larger like the mylan and Roxanne not small like hi tech or teva or activas they are round tablet imprints RP b8 with b and 8 fairly far apart. Any feedback would be great and I would want to switch to rhodes/Purdue from roxanne (now westward being a factor) generics as they make quality are new just released and approved this year 2017 of October and no one how even mentioned them yet that I can find. With westward buying out Roxanne and them making changes a new generic made by Purdue may be just the one we have been waiting for and needing..again on the 54 411 ones now and looking for feedback on the new Purdue Rhodes ones and if the switch from Roxanne westward to rhodes/Purdue would be better maybe with better quality as they have always been a great and reputable company who makes outstanding drugs. Any feedback would be great.

Re: Nicole (# 392) Expand Referenced Message

I know that they just approved a new generic suboxone film set by Dr reddys pharma. They should be a lot less costly and Dr reddys is a quality company and being such a new generic is probably a great first non brand name film that works well. I also know that there are a few other generics I would rate as follows in order of quality for my perspective.

1. white circle tablet with half moon 155 (activas) not a fan of activas personally
2. teva- white circle 5721 93 imprints (probably a great generic but tougher to find)
3. amneal pharma a thick circle orange pill imprint AN 415. haven't heard hest things on this on
4. N 8 tablet shaped just like brand name suboxone tablets just white instead of orange. hi tech pharma
5. Dr reddys brand new first ever generic films
6. white circle L imprint one side cross symbol on the other by Reckitt and Colman
7. Roxanne Pharma orange him 54 375 probably one of the best generic suboxone tablets if able to find maybe himka or westward now if not and still Roxanne good generic suboxone.
8. six sided pink tablet with imprint 8 by
Kremers Urban Pharmaceuticals Inc. worth a try I'm sure a great generic
9. imprint 8 orange 4 sided tablet - Dr reddys pharma
10. B8/N (8mg/2mg), B12/N (12mg/3mg) orange rectangular tablet by Mylan Pharma

And Dr reddys laboratories has a few other tablets in different dosages. these are the majority if not all current generic suboxone tablets and films and ofcourse brand name films made by indiviour when prior reckitt benckizer. not worth the money with so many good generic such as Roxanne, teva, hi tech, kremers Urbans pharma, reckitt and Colman etc. These are good ones to choose from and I hope this helps if you are familiar with and like any of these companies other drugs it may be worth a try to ask your pharmacist for a specific generic order. I always ask my pharmacist which one is showing as most expensive for them to buy wholesale and usually go with that if i am not familiar with the generics yet follow the money but if i know the generic makers I usually know which is best. in this case I can only reccommend and my top five were listed right after I listed all the suboxone generics. I hope this helps Nicole if you need anything let us know and generic subutex or buprenorphine without the naloxne is actually quite great for pain. I take the Rhodes generic 8mgs each day for my pain hut as it is only half an atognist and 40 times stronger than morphine it can and surely will build your pain tolerance and cuts off working after 32mgs for any buprenorphine generics of suboxone and subutex but may be worth a try I switched from films brand name reckitt and indiviour suboxone to generic rhodes subutex and I have not looked back and no regrets. God bless.

Re: Charlene (# 393) Expand Referenced Message

she is correct I was able to switch to himka and Rhodes from 8mg films of suboxone to subutex within a day and that same day no issues and I was on the films for good 5 years easily and one day just switched and was feeling just same on brand name films if not better on Rhodes generic subutex and was paying thousands of dollars for brand name and the Rhodes subutex without the nalaxone is amazing. nalaxone is not the best drug it gives headaches and all kinds of bad side effects but it is a life saver for addicts I give it that but that only works with narcan brand spray when saving someone anyways got off topic point is I was able to switch from films with nalaxone in them to Rhodes and Roxanne at the time subutex within just the same day and dosing hours no issues and improvement as well! best luck we r family here u need anything let us know God bless

Re: Nicole (# 392) Expand Referenced Message

Now u say they are orange colored and able to cut them in 3s... You might be talking about subutex 8mg, orange half moon is the way they are described. They are called actavis brand..not a lot of us are huge fans...however everyone here seems to have very good knowledge..also if u go to Google and search btodrems. All your subutex/suboxone info is listed and anything one would be interested for information can find it there so good luck. Get back with us.

Re: Nicole (# 392) Expand Referenced Message

Hi nicole. I'm trying to get this straight years ago u took suboxone strips 4 8mg day..now your on the suboxone 8/2mg pill ? But it was too strong at first? I'm just waking up, I'm usually not this confused. So u say now on suboxone pill your back on your old dose..or r u on subutex 8mg. There is only one orange half moon dose of subutex, but it seems most of us stay away from that brand of generic. For I guess most just don't care for the flavor and second for me anyway out of the generics of buprenorphine they only have 8mg bup, most of the others say 8.64mg equivalent to 8mgs..and it was westward/hikma..now they are white round ones and they were the best until just recently a nea generic came out from Rhodes they are also white round and we all have been raving about them..we have not had a good generic version for a very long time..so we are head over heals.. so if u are on suboxone u should consider these new ones. Chances are u will not be disappointed. They seem like they are 2x stronger. Not to mention the price difference for subutex campared to suboxone..let us know what's going on and everyone in this group are very helpful and honest with answers..thx

Re: goozer (# 363) Expand Referenced Message

This is good info, because I swear I thought it was just me getting worked up. I guess I picked it up from the past when I was abusing pain meds. Always trying to get them early or doing something illegal. Now that I'm not I still carry that feeling when I go into a pharmacy. Now I'm getting it legit you'd think my anxiety would be ok. But damn not yet one day

Re: Bobby (# 388) Expand Referenced Message

Well I'm very happy that u do approve of the Rhodes, that makes me feel better. I don't like to tell someone that they are great and then they come back at ya and say what they hell are u talking about..but as far as this chips and dull appearance is a bummer..I just picked up my 3rd script today also I just got home. I get 90 a month and not one single time did I get a bad batch. They are shiny and very clear white color I mean I literally pick them up and look at how beautiful they look..then I take one and go..I never really thought of myself looking at a pill and thinking damn they are gorgeous..lol but I do..I have never had a bottle other than the normal pharmacy bottle..and yes that's one thing I Also like is the fact they are so smooth tasting and like u said they disovole better than any sub I have taken in a long time..I never tried Mylan or sun but I have all the others. My last few batches of hikma just 4 months ago before the Rhodes they were very dull looking and broke up with chips I was so disappointed I called hikma to ask what's up. They didn't do much other than ask what Pharmacy I got them from..so anyway congrats to getting them and liking them. All u have to do now is check and make sure they have the full amount because that's a extra drive I wouldn't want to do either. So do u think u will get them again? Just curious that's all.

Re: Charlene (# 386) Expand Referenced Message

Just picked up the Rhodes Purdue brand at the pharmacy. Of course they didn't have enough even though I asked him on Monday if he had enough or could put aside enough for my script. I get 75 a month and they only had 60 on hand so I have to drive the 40 minutes each way again to pick up the 15 pills they owe me. They said from now they would keep it in stock for me but we'll see... Anyways they gave me the manufacturer bottles which I very rarely get but I prefer it. I noticed after opening the bottle the pills were softer than the Roxanne west ward hikima (or whatever they call themselves now) and a few were chipped. It had a white residue that it would leave behind more like the old brand name or Teva's would leave. I took the normal dose I would take when I pick up my script and it hit me a little faster than 54 111's also they dissolved much faster and more smoothly. It had a very bitter taste which usually means it's got quality buprenorphine in it (that's been my experience anyway). It seemed to be pretty good overall. Would I say it's better than the 54 111' s? Yes... Would I say it's as good as the brand name or Teva's old brand? Probably not quite. It's good though. It's definitely better than these new Roxanna 54 111 hikima for sure though! I would say if the brand name was a 10 on a scale from 1 to 10 ten being best. Teva's were 9, Rhodes would be an 8, Roxanne hikima would be a 7, actavis would be a 5 1/2, sun a 4, mylan a 3 and hi tech would be a 2. I like them better than the new 54 111's for sure so I'll be trying to get these from now on. I think they will be available in more pharmacies as more time goes by hopefully because if they don't sell enough than they will eventually stop production to focus of drugs that's ate in higher demand. Example Teva's brand! The more people who know about these as a good quality generic option the better so anyone who has tried them and liked them just tell people or post about it.

Re: Bobby (# 383) Expand Referenced Message

Thx for that reply. That's what I have been doing for awhile now with the mouthwash and I have to agree it works like magic. I used to take my medicine first thing in the morning. But since using Rhodes I no longer have to do that as quickly as waking up in the morning. I have time now to brush my teeth use mouthwash and I noticed that the medacine works so much better with a clean mouth..someone once told me awhile back if you take a piece of ice let it melt and take you bup it works good also, I have never tried it before though

Re: Bobby (# 384) Expand Referenced Message

Well good luck Bobby,..I'm so sure enough to say you will be pleased with the results of Rhodes. In a way maybe it's a good thing your in slightly withdrawal, if that's even a good thing. Lol but once you take just one your probably going to think why did I wait so long to get these??. And I hear ya. I have ran short of my bup, way more than I'd like to admit myself. But it happens..and ya, it definitely sucks..what I have noticed that while using Rhodes for 3 months now, it's the first time I never ran short from taking that extra one because you will not need that extra one. I used to have to take 2 first thing in the morning. Not anymore one does the trick..my doctor wants me on 4 a day but my insurance company will only pay for 3 a day.im still working on that..my doctor is new fresh out of college. She told me 16mg is not enough to get someone around the clock..I have had doctors tell me I only give 2 take it or leave it, I took it because at the time I had no doctor and needed one for 8 months I was so sick with no idea why..I thought maybe did bup stop working for me after all these years? That's when I bumped into this new doc. She said no wonder your so sick you need at least 3 to 31/2, maybe 4. I don't see how anyone could just make it on 2 daily. I had been spending so much money on doctors trying to figure out why I had been so I'll for so long? This new doc pinned it down in one visit and I'm back to normal again feeling great

Re: Charlene (# 362) Expand Referenced Message

I'm supposed to pick up my script tomorrow morning at that new pharmacy of the Rhodes Purdue. Hopefully all goes as planned! I'll report back when I get home and give an honest report on them. I'll try and post some pictures somewhere also because there seems to be none online except for a blurry one from the manufacturer I think. I ran low this month and I'm in a bit a withdrawal which sucks but I'll be able the really feel the effect of them better. I'm really not biased when I take a new brand. I go in completely hopefully. I've been reading lots of people's comments over the years and I've noticed that most of the people that like brands such as mylan, hi tech or sun (which I personally think are garbage) tend to be on lower doses like under 16mg daily. I don't know what that has to do with it but just an observation. Also the couple of people that have commented on Rhodes Purdue and said they didn't like them also said in previous posts that they liked sun or mylan which completely nullified thier opinion in my eyes.

Re: Charlene (# 378) Expand Referenced Message

If you want to increase your absorption of buperenorphine there is a little trick that works well. Get some mouth wash with alcohol and use it for a while then spit it out. Then take your bupe.. the alcohol helps with absorption. I did a ton of research years ago trying to get the most out of my Subutex sublingually and that was the most effective by far! It really does work.. Since then I've found other ways to maximizing my bupe but the mouth wash really works.

I have been on buprenorphine for almost 10 years now, I’ve tried them all as well and what I And most people I talk to who take the medication prefer the 54 411s when I first started treatment I got the Roxanne 54s every month for years. Then one day I got them walked out and saw they were the m924 now I know there all the same chemical but I have to say I don’t care for the Mylan bup. I just walked out of my pharmacy and realized I got the new Rhodes purdue round white rps I went to take one and didn’t notice it was different until I looked in the bottle. I’m hoping these are at least equivalent to the 54s. Anything is better than the peach ones or the tiny ones, I’m feeling pretty good after taking one. I’d say definitely as good as 54s

Charlene (# 372) --

Thanks I dropped of my script at that pharmacy A few minutes ago and they said they only stock Rhodes now. So my script should be ready Wednesday morning good willing. I asking have the west Ward ready in case at old pharmacy. I also was on a higher dose for many years 5 8mg a day. 75 with a refill a month. Now my new doctor cut it down at first my insurance company said we're not paying for more than 2 a day so I went from 40mg to 16mg in a month a few years ago...! Sucked. I get 20 mg day now but I wish I had the extra to help out.

Re: goozer (# 366) Expand Referenced Message

Can you do me a favor? Read the comments for ( DowninOhio ) #351,. I wrote him a reply he talks about absorbson. I read this dr. Jeffrey Fundin under Google he explains every buprenorphine product on the market. I wrote him once because I had found out about the other buprenorphine products out there. He told me Belbuca at the highest dose of 900mcg. Twice daily will have far lower blood concentrations than the dose for me most recently prescribed. I thought it would be stronger for me apparently not so thx
