Rhodes/purdue Buprenorphine Hcl 8mg Rp B8 Vs Roxanne 54 411 (Page 32)

Updated

I have made the switch from the 8mg films to 8mg buprenorphine tablets only. With all the research I've done and experience I do my best to stay away from actavis mylan and nowadays sandoz. I noticed everyone has enjoyed the Roxanne now westward generics amongst hi-tech coming in second/mylan. I have no experience with mylan bup and don't want to take the risk even as mylan has always been a waste imo. I'm not a fan of allergan (actavis) taking over watson so depending on the drug dispenses I most stay away. There are as of now 7 manufacturers of generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg (generic subutex). They are in order of my preferred with not much experience except with brand name: *roxanne (now westward pharma)- 54 411 *hi tech- 8 ^(arrow) *mylan- M924 *teva (allergen/activas owned) crooked b 799 *actavis- moon 153 *sun pharma- 460 white round [And the brand new released generic made by Purdue and distributed by Rhodes Pharmaceuticals the new Rhodes generic] *RP b8- white round bevelled and pretending edges. I currently have had a smooth switch to the Roxanne/westward and declined mylan, actavis, teva, hi tech, sun pharma as most research and reviews conclude the Roxanne/westward generics the 54 411 seem to be best reviewed. I was unable to find the Purdue/Rhodes pharma newly released generic RB b8 imprinted generic. All I know is Rhodes and Purdue are professionals in the process of making quality meds and not just quality meds but pain relief medication, as they even were the company to CREATE oxycontin. I was able to come across one image of them on the web and they look very similar to the Roxanne 54 411s in size color and mostly shape except for the rhodes/Purdue ones protrude or kind of pop out on each side beyond the bevelled edges. They look really well made and on one side they have RP and otherside b 8 which the b and 8 are fairly far apart. I have been doing great from switching from brand films to the Roxanne westward 54 411s so far. I'm hoping to get some feedback by next month on these newly released rhodes/Purdue generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg. They are the newest and just released October 2017 and look very shinny and quality made. I'm hoping someone here who has tried both the Roxanne/westward and the new Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8 tablets. I am going to try and have my pharmacy special order the new Rhodes generics made by Purdue again imprinted RP b 8 white round shinny tablets fairly similar to the Roxanne but look better quality imo but do not have much experience with generic just brand and am very well versed on pharma companies and their medicine and their quality each one has. Has anyone tried these new rhodes/Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8? How would you compare them to the Roxanne 54 411 tablets... I hope for a response or it will be trail and error for me when ordering Rhodes next month if i stay on this route and will see how they compare to the Roxanne/westward but will not be til a month away. Please if you have any experience with these generics and especially the new rhodes/Purdue one let me know. Again I was able to locate only one image of them and they look great. They do not look small like hi tech more like a combined Roxanne and mylan with the shininess and how they pop out on each side..they look a little larger like the mylan and Roxanne not small like hi tech or teva or activas they are round tablet imprints RP b8 with b and 8 fairly far apart. Any feedback would be great and I would want to switch to rhodes/Purdue from roxanne (now westward being a factor) generics as they make quality are new just released and approved this year 2017 of October and no one how even mentioned them yet that I can find. With westward buying out Roxanne and them making changes a new generic made by Purdue may be just the one we have been waiting for and needing..again on the 54 411 ones now and looking for feedback on the new Purdue Rhodes ones and if the switch from Roxanne westward to rhodes/Purdue would be better maybe with better quality as they have always been a great and reputable company who makes outstanding drugs. Any feedback would be great.

Re: THOR (# 615) Expand Referenced Message

Yea ya know what's funny I got blue cross blue sheidl - they cover strips but not generic subtex 90 strips 789 90 Rhodes pharmaceuticals 172.50 for 90, crazy s*** man. The alphabet boys is going to shut it all down an figure out a way to make them more or as much as the pharmaceuticals companies do and we have no choice in the matter. It's sad but day by day they will eventually realize that one narcotic is just as bad as the other. Hell, might as well sell opium on the local smoke shops an be done with it. Have in inflate the price and watch the dollars roll in. Boy I tell ya the DEA and IRS ain't nobody to play with...

Re: Best sub generic Hunter (# 619) Expand Referenced Message

Yea I get the whole Purdue trying to rape everyone they got hooked oxy for a second time with this product by increasing the price. I was just saying that they shouldn't if they want to keep having a popular product. Not that buprenorphine only medication is super high in demand in the US anyway. These companies always treat us like crap mostly because they can because there are no quality control protections put in place by the FDA. Once s drug goes generic it's the Pharmacutical companies just kind of make them however they want with whatever quality they want. Then they turn around and Jack up prices... Rhodes production facility is in the town next to where I live now and I worked doing security for the plant at the entrance gate years ago. I was happy when I heard that they put out a product and that it was pretty good. I'm not sure if phamacys here in Rhode island need to honor a doctor asking for a certain brand of generic on a script? I've been getting subs since 2006 and Subutex since 2010 and most pharmacies around here won't even order things for you. They just give you attitude and will either say we don't have that or if you ask what brand it is when they do you get a that is the only one we get kind of response. Most chain pharmacies that I've gone into randomly to fill my script over the years the Pharmacy techs don't even know what Subutex is and have to ask someone else. I really miss the old days where you had brand name Subutex and the old Roxanne and Teva..! That's it . All of them were good so you didnt have to worry about getting a awful medicine. I am just so sick and tired of hunting down certain brands of meds because of there are do many garbage ones these days( and it seems to be s problem that's getting worse) I drive 45 minutes into the city every month just to get my script filled now and I still have to call them a week before to see if they have it or if they can order it. That's just for my buprenorphine. It's the same kind of thing for Adderall now also. The generics back in 2011 when I went on it were really good then I stopped for a few years and we t back on last year and now there are all new awful generics and the ones that were good before have either sold to other companies that changed them to crap or the original company changed the formulation to where they are no good anymore. This is a big problem. We should not have to worry about getting a medication at the pharmacy that won't work or is such low quality it is nothing like the brand name that all these generics are supposed to be the equivalent to.

Re: Bobby (# 622) Expand Referenced Message

None shouldn't be they will do their best to profit as much as they can if they see their product of seven other generics has been in demand cuz let me tell ya there's no way in hell they are out of or short. A Rhodes rep informed me there is absolutely no stock left not even for short date orders which is bull. A pharma comp like purdue does not just stop the assembly line lol this is entential and they are not really out very doubtful.and my pharma guy told me today wont have em til round July which is good news as they said prior as did Rhodes we aren't looking for til late August so a July back order date ain't as bad as late August. This is no supply out situation tho as their assembly lines never stop nor are they in need of ingredients nor does a company never not do short date orders because they never run completely dry never. This is something else entirely. Maybe a chance at raising their pricing or maybe worse and an agendaed plan with the u.s in regards to the opi crisis and purdue making it worse..idk but it's very odd. Companies never stop assembly line unless discontinuing a product or ingredients very very low on supply and bup is everywhere and all inactive ingredients are very easily obtained for a ol pharma comp. I'm boggled but also a realacist and I know there's no way that assembly has stopped. But we do what we always have done guys and that is do what we can with what we got and grow. Right now himkas will be best generic available or hi tech. Activas is now owned by teva so they may be very close to old teva formulation with a added or few added inactives. But agreed dont show us a new great product of 8 generics and fake a shortage out of stock scenario shame again on Purdue and hope they come back in full with nicer quality made rp b8s and price same or even dropped and not a raised price I love u all God bless and let's keep our fingers crossed and u all are in my prayers

I'm in southwest Florida, just picked up my script for 90 subs, from CVS, at least it's from hikma. And again I got the original sealed bottles, all 3 containing 30 each..I have not been able to get the Rhodes product for months now, I keep calling my normal pharmacy with no luck yet, it could be a lot worse like ending up with oranges half moon from Walgreens..

Re: Charlene (# 625) Expand Referenced Message

Well since the consensus is clear the drug companies read our blahblahblahgs.... I propose a business proposition that will make you billions....eventually since we have an epidemic of opioid abuse. Bring back our old orange "stop signs" shaped Subs. Can't be too hard to do. Bring out a generic equivalent and you'll bury the competition in a year!!! Make them plentiful and affordable. Just like you all did with Oxycontin. You'll have less lawsuits, deaths and happy successful people. Hooking people is bad business. Helping people is very good business and reputation. So big pharma bring out a quality product that's affordable and readily available! Change people's perception in a good way is good business. You can afford a year trial period.

Re: Sinner85 (# 634) Expand Referenced Message

Seriously!?!? Oh no.... This is unbelievable. What are we supposed to do, not take anything? I have to call one of my pharmacies to see what they can order me for my fill next Monday so hopefully they are able to get me something. Last month they ordered me the hikimas but they usually only order me Rhodes or the hi tech they usually carry. I'll check back after I call tomorrow.

I called the mom and pop Pharmacy I have been using and they said Rhodes is still on backorder but they were able to order the hikimas I got last month. Hopefully next month the Rhodes will be available

Re: Bobby (# 635) Expand Referenced Message

Hi All, I have been on the Hikma and Rhodes a little over a year now and recently all this BS about back orders and all the time and effort to get what I am used to getting without success have decided to go back on Suboxone films(Generic). They 8mg/2mg with my discount coupon run me $273 for 120 at CVS. Sandoz is the distributor and from all my research they are identical to the name brand by Indivior. Indivior lost in court to Dr Reddys in February and immediately(2 days later) indicated they had authorized Sandoz to distribute their brand of generic films. Makes sense since Indivior stood to lose around 80% sales. Indivior made close to $2 billion folks... not 2 million.... two thousand million!!! alone on the name brand suboxone films last year. So HELL, might as well basically change the formula just a pinch and put Sandoz on the packaging. From all my research the Sandoz are the best generic films. Dr Reddys (carried at Walgreens, Costco and Walfart) are made in India same as Sun Pharma generic garbage. And are also very poor quality generic films. There you have it folks. Always liked the films best and Naloxone doesn't bother me. Whenever these Rhodes and Westward/Hikma stop f***ing with our lives and provide a consistently available product. I am staying on the films. Only $50 more than my Westward Hikma 120 a month 8mg tablets. Heard all the buprenorphine manufacturers all are going to provide bs for upping the price too. So you may want to make the switch if you're cool with naloxone. If not I wish you all the best. Personally, I have had enough of all this BS with my life. The old orange Subutex stop signs were the best. If those ever come back they will have my business... but I doubt it. Best to all of you. I hope and pray they stop pulling everyone's chain and treat us like human beings. This medicine saved my f ing life and keeps me from screwing up others' and mine. After 40+ years of abusing opiates.... I finally feel normal. I wish these manufacturers would get there head and wallet out of their ass and realize what they are doing to human beings lives. how hard is it to make available a consistently available quality product. Really how hard is that? I never ever in all my years of filling scripts had the pharmacy tell me my percs or lortab or vikes were on f***ing back order. B f***ing S!!!!

Re: davidjw1 (# 637) Expand Referenced Message

Bravo,.my friend, well said!,I get it,..every month close to my refill date my stomach rolls.,thinking what am I gonna get this time around ?? Obviously hoping for the hikma, or Rhodes..???, then start thinking oh gosh, what if it's neither and I have to put out some money for something else, and then we all know what's to follow,..a lousy month.. it get old after awhile,..I don't know why I say it like that?..it's never happened to me anyways..since I have been following goozers..group here and learning of the Rhodes generic..I however used to get Walgreens generic, orange half moon, and I hated those..I just never thought to hunt around for a medacine before.i mean once in a while I'd get a thought and wonder if possible anyone would have hikma around because I hated the orange ones so bad..see here by me the white once were hard to find..but I hunted for the Rhodes....forever.....finally got lucky... for maybe 5 or 6 months...then they are gone, hard to find..again....then I read here that even the hikma might be hard to get, idk, maybe I got lucky because I have been able to them with no trouble at all...but I'm still to upset enough to switch it up, I have always felt more energy from just the buprenorphine product without naloxone in it. So I'm here to stay, on the other hand I'm very happy for you...at least you can end the game of chasing for awhil.i do get real sick of the chasing game though, I chased my high for a very long time, and now I'm still chasing!..

Re: Charlene (# 638) Expand Referenced Message

Hi Charlene. I actually like these a bit better than the Westward or Rhodes. But we all fortunately are different. Many folks can't deal with Naloxone. But so far the generic films by Sandoz are in my opinion the same as name brand and most of us know Sandoz got Indiviors blessing two days after they lost to Dr Reddys in February. They are a bit more costly. But at $86 for 30 film after my drug discount card ($243 without for 30). Beats the $11 a film for name brand. The generics are exactly the same as name brand Indivior. Manufactured by the same company too. My opinion they only tweeked them enough to warrant approval as ageneric and different packaging. Took one 6 hours ago and I am still a happy camper so to speak. However if my pharmacy can regularly get the Rhodes or Westward again then I will possibly go back. If you check on here two years to the day, almost, the posts are of this same backorder BS in 2017. Started in May then full on back orders in June. So theres something amiss this was beee...fore the "Opiod Epidemic" was made so newsworthy so I don't buy it. I really hope they will get there hands and head out long enough to see the light. Theres billions to be made on a genuinely quality generic buprenorphine product. I believe most of us didn't use in a way that there is a need for us to need Naloxone. And cheaper too. They make so much money now. "Demand has increased", so they say.... c'mon who buys that BS. Never ran out of pain meds? Bring back the orange stop signs from back when they first came out and whoever does will be top dog in generic Buprenorphine sales. They worry about subs and bupes being abused. Good luck trying to control that. People will buy somewhere else. So cut the crap people and take care of those of us that just want to stay normal ...for us at least.

This medicine saved not just my life, but everything that matters to me. Wife, job, friends, family...So what if you get a little boost. Coffee does too. Better having us get that boost albeit brief too, than boosting your car for a few blues. Right? Helloooo!!!! We are good folks that got caught in their trap. I really wish I could function as well as I do now without this medicine. But I had been trying to do that for over 40 years off and on from Codeine 3 to Oxy 80s, with a lot of wreckage and baggage on that journey to hell and back!!! Manufacturers I know you read this. Wake up. You want to make a good name for yourselves...???? then make an American made quality product that is always available and you will never worry about money ever. You never ran out of Oxys?? Right? Come on we're not stupid. It will more than cover all the lawsuits. Make it affordable. Do it right. Appease the government, FDA and all those watchdogs. And you will have a clear conscience and one big fatass bank account!!! Win win all the way. I guarantee you!!! that if you create an equivalent or at least very close to the old Subutex Orange Stop Signs of before. You will be numero uno Like Indivior was/is. (1.8 Billion in Suboxone film sales in 2019) Picture surpassing that? Never ever heard a complaint about the old stop signs. NEVER EVER!!!!!!! Sorry Charlene this whole backorder thing reminds me of how apathetic these people are to genuinely good human beings that want to do the right thing for the most part. Hell exists and they had a foot on our ass and another on our neck. Now... they're doing it again. So wrong wrong wrong. Sure there are some that abuse it but that's part of the journey to what's really needed. Awareness in all that we do to stay in touch with our innate nature to be kind and compassionate. Take care.

Re: davidjw1 (# 639) Expand Referenced Message

R&B who made the original Suboxone is being sued for changing to the strips for no good reason other than they were losing exclusivity on the market. Right before Suboxone went generic R&B funded their own study to say that Suboxone pills (Which they still happily sell in Europe and are trying to get approved in china) were all of a sudden a safety risk to children. This was just to get a new patient for the film version of Suboxone. Then they started bribing and pushing the film's on doctors hard. So that's why we can't get a brand name Suboxone pills or Subutex pill anymore. Greedy !!! also totally obvious what they were doing even people who know nothing about the industry. Unreal what they were allowed to get away with.
