Rhodes/purdue Buprenorphine Hcl 8mg Rp B8 Vs Roxanne 54 411 (Page 31)
UpdatedI have made the switch from the 8mg films to 8mg buprenorphine tablets only. With all the research I've done and experience I do my best to stay away from actavis mylan and nowadays sandoz. I noticed everyone has enjoyed the Roxanne now westward generics amongst hi-tech coming in second/mylan. I have no experience with mylan bup and don't want to take the risk even as mylan has always been a waste imo. I'm not a fan of allergan (actavis) taking over watson so depending on the drug dispenses I most stay away. There are as of now 7 manufacturers of generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg (generic subutex). They are in order of my preferred with not much experience except with brand name: *roxanne (now westward pharma)- 54 411 *hi tech- 8 ^(arrow) *mylan- M924 *teva (allergen/activas owned) crooked b 799 *actavis- moon 153 *sun pharma- 460 white round [And the brand new released generic made by Purdue and distributed by Rhodes Pharmaceuticals the new Rhodes generic] *RP b8- white round bevelled and pretending edges. I currently have had a smooth switch to the Roxanne/westward and declined mylan, actavis, teva, hi tech, sun pharma as most research and reviews conclude the Roxanne/westward generics the 54 411 seem to be best reviewed. I was unable to find the Purdue/Rhodes pharma newly released generic RB b8 imprinted generic. All I know is Rhodes and Purdue are professionals in the process of making quality meds and not just quality meds but pain relief medication, as they even were the company to CREATE oxycontin. I was able to come across one image of them on the web and they look very similar to the Roxanne 54 411s in size color and mostly shape except for the rhodes/Purdue ones protrude or kind of pop out on each side beyond the bevelled edges. They look really well made and on one side they have RP and otherside b 8 which the b and 8 are fairly far apart. I have been doing great from switching from brand films to the Roxanne westward 54 411s so far. I'm hoping to get some feedback by next month on these newly released rhodes/Purdue generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg. They are the newest and just released October 2017 and look very shinny and quality made. I'm hoping someone here who has tried both the Roxanne/westward and the new Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8 tablets. I am going to try and have my pharmacy special order the new Rhodes generics made by Purdue again imprinted RP b 8 white round shinny tablets fairly similar to the Roxanne but look better quality imo but do not have much experience with generic just brand and am very well versed on pharma companies and their medicine and their quality each one has. Has anyone tried these new rhodes/Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8? How would you compare them to the Roxanne 54 411 tablets... I hope for a response or it will be trail and error for me when ordering Rhodes next month if i stay on this route and will see how they compare to the Roxanne/westward but will not be til a month away. Please if you have any experience with these generics and especially the new rhodes/Purdue one let me know. Again I was able to locate only one image of them and they look great. They do not look small like hi tech more like a combined Roxanne and mylan with the shininess and how they pop out on each side..they look a little larger like the mylan and Roxanne not small like hi tech or teva or activas they are round tablet imprints RP b8 with b and 8 fairly far apart. Any feedback would be great and I would want to switch to rhodes/Purdue from roxanne (now westward being a factor) generics as they make quality are new just released and approved this year 2017 of October and no one how even mentioned them yet that I can find. With westward buying out Roxanne and them making changes a new generic made by Purdue may be just the one we have been waiting for and needing..again on the 54 411 ones now and looking for feedback on the new Purdue Rhodes ones and if the switch from Roxanne westward to rhodes/Purdue would be better maybe with better quality as they have always been a great and reputable company who makes outstanding drugs. Any feedback would be great.
Re: Bobby (# 599)
Intentionally that is for certain.
UPDATE watch out for a new brand called Akron they suck ass!!!
Re: Serenity Sinner (# 600)
They are not new. They are what is being put out like crazy now. They are the hi tech generics 8 arrow. Also Akron, medithian. Etc hi tech in the end
Re: Serenity Sinner (# 602)
Yea akorn is just another name for hi tech. The little arrow ones. Apparently these are even starting to come up as backordered. I went to CVS to see what they could get for Monday and the girl said all 4 brands they can order are all on backorder. I called the mom and pop I was getting Rhodes at to see if they had any hi tech instock in case I needed something. They said that they couldn't even get more hi tech. Then the girl said only one brand was coming up but it was listed in a different category or something and said my insurance might not cover it. She said it was listed as ROX but that's all it said. She asked the pharmacist and owner and they ordered me 3 bottles but I'm not sure what brand it is? Can't be Roxanne? Those have been gone for a couple years . I have no idea what is going to show up.
Re: Bobby (# 604)
Hi techs for 30 no insurance cost 150 himkaw no insurance cost 50..strange. let us know what u get
Re: Bobby (# 595)
I'm in southwest Florida, every month 90 subs each in the original sealed bottle coming from the manufacturer. Not the orange regular prescription bottle, they are completely sealed.
There's a backorder on rhodes pharmaceuticals brand subs till July. My pharmacy said get ready because they're upping the price due to popularity. They read these forms so be careful what you say. They are going to up the price because everybody's asking for them and so they're popular.
Ok guys here's the scoop my uncle's a pharmacist and owns his own little small Pharmacy and I myself have been on the road since they came out in October 2017 the next release date is 7 12 that's when the backorder is supposed to be over with they're releasing a bunch of them I looked at one of my bottles from last month which was Rhodes and to my amazement they expire in August 2019 so my uncle said they're probably going to just up the problem due to the demand of them
Re: Best sub generic Hunter (# 607)
Yup just found out today my regular Westward are on back order until mid to late June. I asked for Rhodes. They too are back ordered. It took 6 CVS visits to find one that had Westward on the shelf and finally got my 120 filled. They had 5 bottles. I took up 4. A lot of people are gonna suffer because CVS can only get the burn under the tongue Sun Pharma from India. My family Pharmacy that gets me Westward or Rhodes through their distributor Cardinal Health can now only get Akorn/Hi Tech or Sun. And Sun are more expensive. Why is that? Because they price gouged everyone knowing about the back orders. My pharmacy charges me just under $2 per tablet for Westward or Rhodes. They said if I got Sun it would be almost $3!!! per tablet!! Ipay out of pocket. This country makes all this whoopty doo about the opioid epidemicand how they want to help everyone... but does NOTHING to maintain an adequate supply per demand and assure a quality product. They all have their hands in it and they should make it right by providing ample supply and demand for us. They never seemed to run out of Oxys or Vikes!!! ???? Right... WTF!! It's going to be like cigarettes were going to pay for all these lawsuits. We can count on the price going up not down like they initially claimed. Welcome to America!
Re: davidjw1 (# 609)
Yes its terrible..and honestly they run these tablets off their trays like printed money. There should be no reason they are out of supply that's just bull.wonder what their agenda is for ploying a fake out of stock agenda.Welcome to America is right
I liked the Rhodes better after being on the Roxans for about a year. I believe the Rhodes are stronger.
I’m on the Actavis brand and I’m not having any problems with it. The only thing is heartburn. Which goes away within a couple of minutes.
Re: Goozer (# 610)
Never ever had a problem filling my Oxycontin or Percocet!!
Re: Davidjw1 (# 613)
I know, right? They've got an agenda.
So my insurance ran out and I had to pay cash for my Subutex. Before, the cash price was like half of the Medicaid price. Now they are charging me the same. Has anyone run into this???
Re: Goozer (# 605)
It turned out to be hikima brand... I don't know why it was listed as Roxanne still? They give me the manufacturer bottle which is different now. It looks nothing like the old bottle of Roxanne s and the pills as you probably know have been changed and not for the better but it was the best choice I had this month. I'm so sick of thisbackorder bull crap that happens every year!
Re: Best sub generic Hunter (# 608)
I hope they don't up.the price because honestly there not that great if we're comparing them to brand name Subutex or the old Teva generic. Those both blew Rhodes away big time! I loved the old Teva s... When they discontinued them I was devastated. The old Roxanne was pretty similar to the rhodes brand so if the up the price of them it would cause alot of phamacys to not want to order them for people because they like to get the cheap ones. Right now apparently Rhodes was not the expensive because I heard the Pharmacy owner of the mom and pop I get them from saying that they don't have a problem ordering them for me but the hikima brand they didn't want to order for me. They lied to me and said oh we can only get hi tech since Rhodes went on backorder. I'm not sure why they would risk loosing a customer because they only want to order the cheapest brands? They got me the hikima brand this month because all the other brands were all not available and they were not happy about doing that. They tried saying oh your insurance might not cover this brand and I'm not sure if we'll be able to order it. Rhodes would be smart not to jack up their price because honestly it's a mediocre product that just happens to be the best in comparison to all the other crappy generics on the market right now. We know that these companies are capable of making a much better product. I would kill for the old Teva brand right now.
Re: Bobby (# 617)
Agreed and I concur
Re: Bobby (# 617)
Bobby what you don't realize is that some of these companies look at these forums. Why do you think they did away with some of the other brands and hikma bought out Roxanne? It's a money thing man. Purdue Pharmaceuticals has got that giant lawsuit against them and they're trying to make up money where they lost all that money for paying out all that s***. My uncle said they're highly likely to go up on the price at the distributors which in return goes up on the pharmacy, private pharmacies and chain pharmacies. I will keep you all posted. His wholesaler said Rhodes Pharmaceuticals is due to release a fresh batch, I want to say 7/12/2019. I saw it on the computer myself and he told me being that everybody is asking for him by name and bought them out like they did once they got on the market and people started finding out that they were actually better and made by the company that produces the best pain medication in the world they're going to now raise the price and in return you're just going to have to deal with junk or pay the price for them. If you have insurance all you got to do is look up what each brand has that that Pharmacy has made. You go to look up the active ingredients in it. Some of them are similar and some of them have different binding agents. If you tell your doctor that you think that you are allergic to the binding agents in it, request that you get Rhodes Pharmaceuticals due to you being adversely reactive to just certain inactive ingredients in the other brands and even large chain pharmacies have to order it for you then.
Re: Bobby (# 617)
Fo sho!! It's all such BS. They need to have a firm set amount of Bupe period. Quality as well..Sun is manufactured in India so QC is unmanageable for here. Nobody verifies quality once it ships here either like I said before.....never ever had issues like this with my oxy and perc scripts . NEVAH EVAH!!! Demand and supply here not the other way around. As expensive as this medication is you'd think we'd get a quality product anytime we bring in our script. They got us by thecajones and we can't do S!
