Rhodes/purdue Buprenorphine Hcl 8mg Rp B8 Vs Roxanne 54 411 (Page 3)

Updated

I have made the switch from the 8mg films to 8mg buprenorphine tablets only. With all the research I've done and experience I do my best to stay away from actavis mylan and nowadays sandoz. I noticed everyone has enjoyed the Roxanne now westward generics amongst hi-tech coming in second/mylan. I have no experience with mylan bup and don't want to take the risk even as mylan has always been a waste imo. I'm not a fan of allergan (actavis) taking over watson so depending on the drug dispenses I most stay away. There are as of now 7 manufacturers of generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg (generic subutex). They are in order of my preferred with not much experience except with brand name:

*roxanne (now westward pharma)- 54 411
*hi tech- 8 ^(arrow)
*mylan- M924
*teva (allergen/activas owned) crooked b 799
*actavis- moon 153
*sun pharma- 460 white round
[And the brand new released generic made by Purdue and distributed by Rhodes Pharmaceuticals the new Rhodes generic]
*RP b8- white round bevelled and pretending edges.

I currently have had a smooth switch to the Roxanne/westward and declined mylan, actavis, teva, hi tech, sun pharma as most research and reviews conclude the Roxanne/westward generics the 54 411 seem to be best reviewed. I was unable to find the Purdue/Rhodes pharma newly released generic RB b8 imprinted generic. All I know is Rhodes and Purdue are professionals in the process of making quality meds and not just quality meds but pain relief medication, as they even were the company to CREATE oxycontin. I was able to come across one image of them on the web and they look very similar to the Roxanne 54 411s in size color and mostly shape except for the rhodes/Purdue ones protrude or kind of pop out on each side beyond the bevelled edges. They look really well made and on one side they have RP and otherside b 8 which the b and 8 are fairly far apart. I have been doing great from switching from brand films to the Roxanne westward 54 411s so far. I'm hoping to get some feedback by next month on these newly released rhodes/Purdue generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg. They are the newest and just released October 2017 and look very shinny and quality made. I'm hoping someone here who has tried both the Roxanne/westward and the new Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8 tablets. I am going to try and have my pharmacy special order the new Rhodes generics made by Purdue again imprinted RP b 8 white round shinny tablets fairly similar to the Roxanne but look better quality imo but do not have much experience with generic just brand and am very well versed on pharma companies and their medicine and their quality each one has.

Has anyone tried these new rhodes/Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8? How would you compare them to the Roxanne 54 411 tablets... I hope for a response or it will be trail and error for me when ordering Rhodes next month if i stay on this route and will see how they compare to the Roxanne/westward but will not be til a month away. Please if you have any experience with these generics and especially the new rhodes/Purdue one let me know. Again I was able to locate only one image of them and they look great. They do not look small like hi tech more like a combined Roxanne and mylan with the shininess and how they pop out on each side..they look a little larger like the mylan and Roxanne not small like hi tech or teva or activas they are round tablet imprints RP b8 with b and 8 fairly far apart. Any feedback would be great and I would want to switch to rhodes/Purdue from roxanne (now westward being a factor) generics as they make quality are new just released and approved this year 2017 of October and no one how even mentioned them yet that I can find. With westward buying out Roxanne and them making changes a new generic made by Purdue may be just the one we have been waiting for and needing..again on the 54 411 ones now and looking for feedback on the new Purdue Rhodes ones and if the switch from Roxanne westward to rhodes/Purdue would be better maybe with better quality as they have always been a great and reputable company who makes outstanding drugs. Any feedback would be great.

Oh the generics do differ. And it's not something in my head but truth. I tried them all as well. And others people have the same issue. Generics differ. "Follow the money". Quality. Keep me posted on any discontinued information.

Re: Goozer (# 41) Expand Referenced Message

Have you heard that the government is doing away with buprenorphine treatment? My Physician told me this week and said manufacturing of buprenorphine will terminate very soon. The only option will be suboxone or the patches. According to him, too many people are abusing it. Have you heard this information or am I the only one?

These are the same meds as 54/411s. I just picked some up today from my pharma and me and my wife think they are better than 54/411s. Me and my wife are prescribed subutex and we love them. This medicine has changed our lives. We went from junkys living in a tent with nothing and now have a 3 bedroom home and 2 beautiful babies. We are so blessed for this medication. It does work. I was addicted to drugs all my life from 13 years old all the way up till I was 31 years old and I have been on subutex for 5 1/2 years and going on 6 years sober. I have not touched anything. I couldnt believe the power this drug has to get rid of all withdrawing or even thinking about using any drug. I just love the medication and would shake the person's hands just to say thank you for saving my life and my wifes and giving my kids back there father and god bless you.

The only bad comment I will give on this medication is all the doctors out here making so hard on addicts and benefiting off of someones addiction. Shame on you for charging $500. The lowest I've seen is $225 just to get wrote a prescription for subutex and we all know most addicts have no insurance. So after paying all that you have to get them out of the pharmacy. So I say god will sort you out in the end cause no addict should have to pay almost a $1000 bucks a month to try and get sober. To be honest this supplement should be sold over the counter and not through any doc or pharma cause their giving the supplement (thats what im calling it) a bad name and its not right whats happening to people that are addicted to opiates, xanax and other illicit drugs. Its all this government drug dealing at its best and I hate that im still addicted to subutex but its better than the other option I have on my plate. So I say to purdue pharma, thank you for making the best subutex. Me and my family thank you and say please keep the price down on us people. Not druggies or addicts, I say people.

Re: Tim (# 42) Expand Referenced Message

I have not heard this at all nor have seen any articles or research to verify. Many people take this medicine nd companies just made a new generic and a bunch of money. I mean maybe they are but not that I have heard or seen anywhere. Maybe he just want you off them I'm not sure. I hope this is not the case though.

Re: Tim (# 40) Expand Referenced Message

Your doc is a nut and you need to find a different physician. They are not cracking down on subutex abuse, they're cracking down on doctors and pharmacies charging too much, so they're making a law for them to start taking insurance for the treatment and thats why your doc is saying this, cause he does not want to write subutex. This drug saves lives and it's 99.9% effective if taken correctly. Please stop posting stuff like this cause it would only cause a scare for the people that actually take this supplement daily. Its not a drug so I tell you it should be sold over the counter cause its a magical and overwhelming benefit to every community out there in the states. There is an opiate crisis and I myself have lost a few family members to overdoses which is really sad cause if they could have bought this supplement they would be still alive but they could not afford it to get clean cause they were addicted to opiates and many other drugs. Our government made this crisis. It's the government's fault. For one they bought and made every drug in this country. There is higher power at work here around this country and they are not for your benefit. Sorry about going off track from your question but I will tell you this, im in indiana close to louisville, ky and both have clinics popping up every where, and they are not taking subutex away, they are mass producing it lol and buprenorphine is the same as suboxone/naloxone. They are the same but I will tell you if you take suboxone/naloxone you need to get off it because it should be only taken the first 6 months after getting off drugs and the reason I say this is cause naloxone will mess with your breathing and heart under long term use, so get off it and get on subutex cause it will be devastating for you in the long run. So I say tell your doc to run backwards in a corn field with his pants down cause he's a nut job lol.

Re: DawnInOhio (# 38) Expand Referenced Message

Then why are you on this site commenting on peoples post then? Kinda backwards to what you're saying, don't you think? People ask these questions because some pharmacies put different ingredients in the meds. That's why some taste different and make you feel different. So that's why we ask these questions on here and you're wrong about what you said. No one is commenting on blood pressure pills cause they are just looking it up like you did this site and truly you could find any drug on this site and talk about it even blood pressure pills. Geez get a grip on yourself and think before you type stupid comments, just saying.

Re: Goozer (# 1) Expand Referenced Message

I've taken every subutex and every box they made. To the point, the 54s are good don't get me wrong i've been getting 54-411s for about 10 years now, but recently had the round white RP-B8. And on a scale of 1 to 10 compared to 54-411, the B8 is an 8 on the scale. I say try it for sure. I broke off a quarter and had taken that, there was no trash left. Alright bro, best of luck.

Re: Goozer (# 3) Expand Referenced Message

I just switched from HiTech to Rhodes today, the inconsistency of HiTech from one day to the next was terrible. Before that I was Mylan, anyways, the more I learn I will share. I can’t tell just yet, I just picked up 2 hours ago from my pharmacist. Good luck.

Re: Little Bambino (# 43) Expand Referenced Message

I told everyone these were the best and newest generic last year. I'm so happy to hear such great feedback off my personal search for the Rhodes generic. Love to hear it is helping you and your wife! I was telling everyone last year these are the ones to take, not Roxanne or hi tech. These Rhodes / Purdue are the best bup available. I saw the price on a bottle and it was $8 for a bottle of 30. Someone forgot to take off the actual wholesale and retail price. These are very inexpensive and we are getting the short straw but at least they are here for us. So happy to see and hear all positive feedback from my recommendations and thread. Makes my day to read all your words! Glad you made the switch. It's 2 times more effective for certain.

Re: DawnInOhio (# 38) Expand Referenced Message

Get the Rhodes generic and you will most definitely notice a generic difference and see how it is not same equivalence wise and Rhodes Purdue bup and you will be happy you made the switch. And no people they are not discontinuing bup or red. This is non sense and misinformed information. They just made two more NDC codes for these drugs. They are not going anywhere and were approved in Oct 2017. Sorry to correct you but it isn't true. And yes give them a try and you will see yourself there are huge differences in generics. Rhodes are at least two times if not more effective than any other of the 7 generics of this medicine. Best of luck and keep an open mind.

Re: Jenb (# 20) Expand Referenced Message

I haven't found the Rhodes yet, but I've used the orange half-moon (Actavis?), the M 924 (Mylan), and the tiny white ones with an arrow on them.

From my experience on those listed above, I prefer the M 924. They feel strong and last a full 24 hours. The Actavis were #2 for me. They never feel as strong, and seem to fade earlier than 24 hours (I dose once per day). The small white pills with the arrow, I did not like at all. I found myself having to re-dose after just 12 hours.

I've read thru other reviews, and everyone seems different. Maybe it's all in our heads!

Re: melody (# 56) Expand Referenced Message

That's good. Those generics are not nearly as strong as Rhodes RP b 8 imprinted ones. The tiny ones you are talking about are made by hi tech. Keep trying the Rhodes are at least 2 times more efficient in strength and are just made better. Purdue helping the cause maybe. Highly recommend the Rhodes. Search for them until you get them. You may have to ask pharmacists to order it, but they are available. Stay away from cooperate pharmacies. Like Walgreens, CVS and Walmart. They are not so keen on helping their customers. If not take your money and business elsewhere because that's what you're giving them. Hope to hear feedback. Jen was lucky she got them like right when they came out without trying lol. If you need help let me know.

Jenb (# 20) & Goozer --

I was on the rox 54s for almost 3 years straight and loved em. Didn't want any other brand. My mom and pop pharmacy just made the switch from the 54s to the b8 RPs and honestly at first I was worried. I had never seen them before. Especially after being on the same brand (roxanne) for 3 years solid. But take my word, these b8 rhodes ones are almost identical other than I feel there is less bunk (fillers) in them. No W/D's at all on the switch. And if your like me, you'll be happy to hear that they dissolve in water better than the 54s. As if I thought that was possible before haha. I'm confident that you will be if you are already very pleased with the quality and make up of these new rhodes RPs. Good luck and have a great day!!!
