Rhodes/purdue Buprenorphine Hcl 8mg Rp B8 Vs Roxanne 54 411

Updated

I have made the switch from the 8mg films to 8mg buprenorphine tablets only. With all the research I've done and experience I do my best to stay away from actavis mylan and nowadays sandoz. I noticed everyone has enjoyed the Roxanne now westward generics amongst hi-tech coming in second/mylan. I have no experience with mylan bup and don't want to take the risk even as mylan has always been a waste imo. I'm not a fan of allergan (actavis) taking over watson so depending on the drug dispenses I most stay away. There are as of now 7 manufacturers of generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg (generic subutex). They are in order of my preferred with not much experience except with brand name:

*roxanne (now westward pharma)- 54 411
*hi tech- 8 ^(arrow)
*mylan- M924
*teva (allergen/activas owned) crooked b 799
*actavis- moon 153
*sun pharma- 460 white round
[And the brand new released generic made by Purdue and distributed by Rhodes Pharmaceuticals the new Rhodes generic]
*RP b8- white round bevelled and pretending edges.

I currently have had a smooth switch to the Roxanne/westward and declined mylan, actavis, teva, hi tech, sun pharma as most research and reviews conclude the Roxanne/westward generics the 54 411 seem to be best reviewed. I was unable to find the Purdue/Rhodes pharma newly released generic RB b8 imprinted generic. All I know is Rhodes and Purdue are professionals in the process of making quality meds and not just quality meds but pain relief medication, as they even were the company to CREATE oxycontin. I was able to come across one image of them on the web and they look very similar to the Roxanne 54 411s in size color and mostly shape except for the rhodes/Purdue ones protrude or kind of pop out on each side beyond the bevelled edges. They look really well made and on one side they have RP and otherside b 8 which the b and 8 are fairly far apart. I have been doing great from switching from brand films to the Roxanne westward 54 411s so far. I'm hoping to get some feedback by next month on these newly released rhodes/Purdue generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg. They are the newest and just released October 2017 and look very shinny and quality made. I'm hoping someone here who has tried both the Roxanne/westward and the new Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8 tablets. I am going to try and have my pharmacy special order the new Rhodes generics made by Purdue again imprinted RP b 8 white round shinny tablets fairly similar to the Roxanne but look better quality imo but do not have much experience with generic just brand and am very well versed on pharma companies and their medicine and their quality each one has.

Has anyone tried these new rhodes/Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8? How would you compare them to the Roxanne 54 411 tablets... I hope for a response or it will be trail and error for me when ordering Rhodes next month if i stay on this route and will see how they compare to the Roxanne/westward but will not be til a month away. Please if you have any experience with these generics and especially the new rhodes/Purdue one let me know. Again I was able to locate only one image of them and they look great. They do not look small like hi tech more like a combined Roxanne and mylan with the shininess and how they pop out on each side..they look a little larger like the mylan and Roxanne not small like hi tech or teva or activas they are round tablet imprints RP b8 with b and 8 fairly far apart. Any feedback would be great and I would want to switch to rhodes/Purdue from roxanne (now westward being a factor) generics as they make quality are new just released and approved this year 2017 of October and no one how even mentioned them yet that I can find. With westward buying out Roxanne and them making changes a new generic made by Purdue may be just the one we have been waiting for and needing..again on the 54 411 ones now and looking for feedback on the new Purdue Rhodes ones and if the switch from Roxanne westward to rhodes/Purdue would be better maybe with better quality as they have always been a great and reputable company who makes outstanding drugs. Any feedback would be great.

Anyone? Anything? I have spoken with the company itself who states it's available at almost every pharmacy in my county and the suppliers say available but pharmacies say not available. Two did but informed me they were double the cost of regular brands by a lot and would not order them for me. :( Any feedback anyone?

Re: Chris (# 2) Expand Referenced Message

Thanks for the feedback but inwas inquiring if you have tried the brand new ones made by Purdue pharma and dispensed by Rhodes Pharmacuetical with imprints RP b8. I had no luck finding it anywhere in my city as all said out of stock or available soon and few pharmacist inform me it is non-preffered and lile double the cost of all other 6 manufactures. If it's double the cost it has to be double quality..follow the money..but have yet to get anyone's experience with the new Rhodes generic NOT Roxanne I'm looking for Rhodes generic feedback. The Roxanne seem fine never tried hi-tech but I'm going to find these new Rhodes if I can and pay..purdie makes them for Rhodes and Purdue makes good medicene..again any feedback on RHODES generic new one that would be great. Also why you like hi tech over roxanne?

Hey! I responded to your post on the other page. The new 8mg bup by Rhodes pharma is the BEST I've ever taken. I was on the awful mylan 924 which caused w/d's for nearly 3 months! I'm now 3 months into taking the RP 8 and the cost was LESS, not more! However, keep in mind I'm going by the CVS cost for Mylan 924 @ $359.00 for 45 tabs vs a mom and pop pharmacy (where I get my RP 8) which only cost $101.21 for a MUCH BETTER PRODUCT! Read my info on the other page. I'll help you locate a pharmacy that carries them. Best of luck, for I KNOW the struggle! My Dr. even told me that Mylan 924 were garbage w/ too many fillers and recommended that I seek a different manufacturer through a different pharmacy. As I went on to begin telling him how pharmacies react to inquiring about manufacturer's, he stopped me and stated he knows how difficult switching pharmacies can be on us. If anyone has a pharmacy by the name of Prime Pharmacy in their city, call them! They were the 1st to carry the RP 8's in Jacksonville, Fl.

Awesome, thank you for the response. I have had this page up with nonreplies for over a month :(. I can imagine they are well made :) Purdue makes good medicine. I'm in slc and will be getting 120 of them and have excellent insurc. So hope it covers most if not all. Hope to find it this next month.

No luck yet in slc whatsoever :(. May have to have prime pharmacy ship them to my pharmacy if they have them in stock because not one pharmacy here in slc has them. I have called almost if not everyone :(. Still have 20 days left to find some so let's hope.

Jen I finally found a pharmacy that was able to get them for me I don't get it for about another week but it ended up being my main Pharmacy they didn't want to lose my business I don't think and I have a pretty good relationship with them but I'm really excited to try these ones out compared to the rocks and said I've been using which are great but I know Rhodes and Purdue make really good medication as well so hopefully it works out for me if not I'll switch back to the roxannes and now Westward generic but I have a feeling that Im going to be super pleased with the Rhodes purdue generic

Re: Goozer (# 7) Expand Referenced Message

That's WONDERFUL news!! Lmk how you do with them! I actually just spoke w/ my pharmacy today. The pharmacist recommended that I either drop my rx off a day or 2 ahead of the day I need refills, just in case he needs to order them. He specifically orders my Rhodes Pharma for me in advance each month. So just a heads up for you to do the same with your pharmacy. I "normally" drop my bup rx off the day I see my doc. (3-5 days b4 refill is due), but this month (Monday this week) I went to my doc, but held on to my rx til my refill is due tomorrow. (Thurs) So, he called me out of concern to ensure that I was planning to pick bup up tomorrow since I hadn't dropped off the rx yet. (Great pharmacist!) I'm curious to get your input on the the Rhodes vs 54 411. I've not tried that brand....only the garbage Mylan and the so-so 8 w/ arrow brand...(can't recall manufacturer name at the moment.) I just know that the RP 8's melt away smoothly instead of the M 924's that leave undissolved crumbs in my mouth, and simply do NOT work! I LOVE my RP 8's!! Best wishes, and lmk asap!!

Got the rhodes/purdue ones today after switching from the Roxanne 54 411s and will see how the top two generics of subutex compare as the roxanne (westwatd) 54 411 pill seems to be preferred but the new rhodes made by purdue RP b 8 imprinted pill is new & just came out in October 2017. I will compare and if anyone has any questions of the Roxanne compared to Rhodes I will know here in a few hours. Yay!

Ok..here is my conclusion on All 7 generics.. I have only tried brand name subutex, roxannes (westward) kind not old shinny Roxanne as westward has made them different and chalky now all real Roxanne are most likely faded out by now and we are dealing with only westward 54 411s which are great to but little different than original Roxanne before westward bought them out. I have never tried the smaller ones like teva or activas nor the mylan or hi tech. I would like to try hi tech as they make quality meds but most seem to prefer Roxanne over hi tech so I got those and they worked well..easy switch from he and name films to westward 54 411s..and picked them instead of hi tech or mylan or teva. Anyways I have now tried the new RHODES/PURDUE made newest generic with imprints RP b8 and will list my favorites in order..please note I haven't tried teva, activas, mylan, or hi tech. I do jot like any of those company's except hi tech and stay away from mylan and teva which is now allergan owned meaning activas owns teva and activas makes quality meds but they hit strong and end quick if even at all..so here it goes in my preferred order

#1-Rhodes manfct by purdue- RP b 8 imprints
#2- westward(formerly roxanne)- 54 411
#3-hi tech- 8 arrow
#4-mylan - M923 I believe
#5- teva- b799
#6-sun pharma- 460
#7- activas- orange pill with crescent moon

I must say the Rhodes are fantastic. They are about the same size as westward Roxanne but way more shinny and a little chalky like a good soma would be. The imprints and making of the pill are phenomenal and it kicks in very quickly and lasts longer than Roxanne but comes very close..this is one time where I have questioned ever generics being a close call and hard to decide but Rhodes are stronger than Roxanne at least for me..but I like both and would be happy getting either or but if I choose it would always be Rhodes. I have yet to try the hi tech or any small ones except brand name due to all bad reviews I've seen and the fact that allergan owns activas and teva and they make addictive cheap meds that hit hard but end quick and I have stayed away from mylan my whole life on every type of medicine sop yee lol. And on the sun pharma I know sun pharma medicines are expensive so follow the money u hear but I hear people saying they don't like the sun's at all but they are the most expensive of the 7..and I like my medicine to he made in the US where I don't think sun and novartis (sandoz) are anymore. Rhodes is phenomenal and will be everyone's preferred soon..again still need to try the hi tech but is say get Rhodes as purdie makes it for them..purdue invented oxycontin keep in mind and Rhodes just dispenses it so purdie makes the Rhodes ones. If you can't get Rhodes get westward Roxanne as it is a close call Rhodes is stronger by far but Roxanne are also just calm and nice as well..if u can't get wither I would say hi tech or mylan but imo I will be sticking with

-rhodes/Purdue-feedback RP b 8
-roxanne(westward)- 54 411
- and hi tech- 8 arrow

When I decide to try it if needed..the rest are cheap and junk. The make with cheapest ingredient so they can make most money stick with these top three. Please if you have any questions I know my pharmacology very well and all the generics and which are best and not just for bup but for benz to and all..generic king here lol. Please ask anytime u have a medicine question il be happy.

Re: Jenb (# 8) Expand Referenced Message

Yes the Roxanne are good..the 54 411. But westward now makes them which still ar ent bad just not like the old shinny great Roxanne ones. Anyways they are same size as Rhodes but do not dissolves as smoothly..they are definitely close to Rhodes but honestly a lot of people compare them to mylan..but preference. If i couldn't get Rhodes id get the 54 411s..or the hi tech 8 arrows since haven't tried them but always rhodes and my pharmacist told me the same to just call ahead but I always have done this with all my meds as I get my alprazolam special ordered.

The Roxanne now westward brand the 54 411s are good tho. If u look at the images for it you can tell the old one was way more well made than they are now..they do not dissolve nearly as well as Rhodes but are comparable. Rhodes last longer and hits harder tho. I like both generics honestly but Rhodes is better made for sure and my new preferred. I wish they still had the old Roxanne but Rhodes is amazing and it has 8 inactive ingredients on it just like the 54 411s so they are similar but like you said Rhodes are the best. They equate to probably about 2x better than any other I've tried..closest to brand name Rhodes are than anyone ever if not better...but I still like the 54 411s. But will keep getting Rhodes because Purdue makes them and they are always making good meds

Re: Jenb (# 8) Expand Referenced Message

See the 54 411s leave crumbs just like that but they actually work well and they have strong bup taste. They have stronger taste than Rhodes than Rhodes is stronger..its strange lol..but yes 54 411s are like crumbly like u said..but they work unlike mylan work work well but Rhodes is def a few steps up and better than .

Rhodes/Purdue made- RP b8
Westward (formerly roxanne)-54 411
Then if couldn't get these I would try hi tech-8;arrow as I haven't tried it.

But imagine the mylan that is crumbly and strong that is a little more chalky yet hard and even with spitting the crumbs out it working just almost as well as Rhodes and that is what a 54 411 is like these days. But like u first said Rhodes is best even better than brand..one will do it for the majority of the day when all others u need to take 2 to 3

Re: Jenb (# 8) Expand Referenced Message

I finally found a mom and pop pharmacy who would order the Rhodes buprenorphine but they told me they are not available. I don’t know how some of you are receiving them when I was told they are not yet available. The pharmacy is going to keep checking if they become available but as of today it’s a no go.

Re: Tim (# 13) Expand Referenced Message

Honestly after my months of searching, I think it comes down to the pharmacist and their ability and willingness to contact their wholesale supplier to request them, whether that is cardinal McKesson AmerisourceBergen..etc. I like both though but most pharmacists just see 'not available' in their system so I think it comes down to pharmacists being willing to call their supplier and ask them to find it because it's available and has been since October 2017...slowly making their way in the supply chain. Call the suppliers and Rhodes even... but I was informed they should be available to most last week or this week so they should be more available soon. It also is area dependent as well. All strange but if you have Roxanne ones I wouldn't sweat it too much. Rhodes are better but Roxanne are in their own way as well. You'll find them, just can't stop at it or take no for an answer. It is your money.

Re: Tim (# 13) Expand Referenced Message

Tim, what state and city do you live? I used CVS exclusively in the beginning until they switched to the garbage Mylan 940's, which left me in horrible w/d's for 3 months! On a whim, I did a google search of pharmacies in my area, read reviews for each one, and chose Prime Pharmacy here in Jacksonville Fl based on their high reviews. Luckily, I only had to do this once to get bup brand that got me out of w/d's. I had never heard of the manufacturer Rhodes Pharmacy that provided me the b-8 bup tablets. I was freaking out that it was more garbage and expected another month of w/d's. Fortunately for me, that brand took me out of my w/d's w/in 20 mins and prior to the pill fully dissolving. I can't express the relief I endured. I just picked up my 4th month with this pharmacy and bup manufacturer. I asked my pharmacist about the meds and discovered they chose them because their cost was much less than Mylan!! I would get the phone # for Rhodes Pharmacy and take it to your pharmacist to have them call and begin ordering from them. Tell them the costs should be less for them. Do it before your next rx date...so they have time to call and order for you. Some pharmacies aren't aware of Rhodes Pharmacy and their lower fees. I hope this will get them on the ball for your next refill. I'd also pursue other small pharmacies and give them the same info and request that they try ordering from Rhodes Pharmacy for bup. My clonazepam comes from Rhodes Pharmacy as well, but I prefer Teva for those. Lmk if I can help. Best wishes.

Re: Jenb (# 15) Expand Referenced Message

I’m in Tallahassee, Florida and the mom and pop pharmacy I use did check for me and told me that Rhodes was not available. That’s all they told me. Also here in Tallahassee pharmacies will not tell over the phone if buprenorphine is available or not. They make me come in with the script then and only then will they tell me if any are available. This is getting ridiculous. Thanks Jenb

Re: Tim (# 16) Expand Referenced Message

Call Rhodes Pharmacy and have THEM fax over their prices, etc...for their bup. This may get the smaller pharmacy to select them. I'm sorry your having a difficult time. We can't call pharmacies and ask here either. Like I said, do a search of all local "non chain" pharmacies in your area and pull up each website to search review's. The higher the reviews, the better chance you have @ getting in with the right one.

Re: Tim (# 16) Expand Referenced Message

They should be available at most pharmacies this week. Try a harmons pharmacy or like a good in store or in hospital pharmacy..they need the buisness. And I tried on of the 411s after being on Rhodes for good few weeks and Rhodes kicks 411s out of the park.. Rhodes 5stars 411s 3.5 stars

Re: Goozer (# 19) Expand Referenced Message

Prime Pharmacy orders their meds from Rhodes Pharmacy. While Rhodes Pharmacy makes my bup, they send the E1 blue round pills made by Sandoz and they also supply with Teva. I like Teva's Klonopin vs those E1's made by Sandoz...So I had my pharmacist start ordering the Teva's for me. Regardless, the bup w/ b8 on one side and RP on the other is actually made by Rhodes Pharmacy...hence the RP engraved on the bup pills. I'm not SUPER picky about my Klonopin as I am about the bup! Like I stated previously, 3 months of horrible w/d's from the garbage Mylan- M 924, into above normal w/ the RP b8's....I've not seen where Purdue makes sublingual bups upon Google searches, only the oval b8's for use in the buccal (between cheek and teeth)....thoughts on that?

Re: Little Bambino (# 45) Expand Referenced Message

Dude chill out. Buprenorphine is definitely a DRUG not a SUPPLEMENT. Haha supplements are natural things like vitamins and cranberry supplements etc. Buprenorphine is a (Synthetic Opioid) that's why your brain freaks out at the mere thought of losing it. You are not sober, it's replacement therapy. Which is fine. For some people being on buprenorphine is better than other opioids, but it's intended for most to be tapered off of. It's still very addicting.

Did you ever take the Hi-Tech Buprenorphine? Small arrow in one side then 8 on the other?! They are really good. They went out of business due to illegal billing to Medicare.

Now the Pa pharmacy is selling them, look at PAI Pharma!! https://paipharma.com/wholesalers/

I called Costco and they are back ordered but next time I need a refill I will ask in advance to have them order some!! Good luck!!

I currently get the Rhodes RP b8. straight 8mg bup. I get them from Costco. they have been the best ones in my opinion besides the 8^ which I can't get anymore. Hearing that they might come back is good news, but I'm not hopeful until I see the real thing. Is there a way to separate the bup from all the filler in the pill like people used to do back in the day with norcos and Vicodin? they used cold water or something like that to separate and filter out the fillers? Idk, just a thought?

They must've changed the formulation because those Hi-techs had a reputation on discussions boards like this one as being the absolute worst bup. pills out there.
