Rhodes/purdue Buprenorphine Hcl 8mg Rp B8 Vs Roxanne 54 411 (Page 23)
(Newest replies first)
Updated
I have made the switch from the 8mg films to 8mg buprenorphine tablets only. With all the research I've done and experience I do my best to stay away from actavis mylan and nowadays sandoz. I noticed everyone has enjoyed the Roxanne now westward generics amongst hi-tech coming in second/mylan. I have no experience with mylan bup and don't want to take the risk even as mylan has always been a waste imo. I'm not a fan of allergan (actavis) taking over watson so depending on the drug dispenses I most stay away. There are as of now 7 manufacturers of generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg (generic subutex). They are in order of my preferred with not much experience except with brand name:
*roxanne (now westward pharma)- 54 411
*hi tech- 8 ^(arrow)
*mylan- M924
*teva (allergen/activas owned) crooked b 799
*actavis- moon 153
*sun pharma- 460 white round
[And the brand new released generic made by Purdue and distributed by Rhodes Pharmaceuticals the new Rhodes generic]
*RP b8- white round bevelled and pretending edges.
I currently have had a smooth switch to the Roxanne/westward and declined mylan, actavis, teva, hi tech, sun pharma as most research and reviews conclude the Roxanne/westward generics the 54 411 seem to be best reviewed. I was unable to find the Purdue/Rhodes pharma newly released generic RB b8 imprinted generic. All I know is Rhodes and Purdue are professionals in the process of making quality meds and not just quality meds but pain relief medication, as they even were the company to CREATE oxycontin. I was able to come across one image of them on the web and they look very similar to the Roxanne 54 411s in size color and mostly shape except for the rhodes/Purdue ones protrude or kind of pop out on each side beyond the bevelled edges. They look really well made and on one side they have RP and otherside b 8 which the b and 8 are fairly far apart. I have been doing great from switching from brand films to the Roxanne westward 54 411s so far. I'm hoping to get some feedback by next month on these newly released rhodes/Purdue generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg. They are the newest and just released October 2017 and look very shinny and quality made. I'm hoping someone here who has tried both the Roxanne/westward and the new Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8 tablets. I am going to try and have my pharmacy special order the new Rhodes generics made by Purdue again imprinted RP b 8 white round shinny tablets fairly similar to the Roxanne but look better quality imo but do not have much experience with generic just brand and am very well versed on pharma companies and their medicine and their quality each one has.
Has anyone tried these new rhodes/Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8? How would you compare them to the Roxanne 54 411 tablets... I hope for a response or it will be trail and error for me when ordering Rhodes next month if i stay on this route and will see how they compare to the Roxanne/westward but will not be til a month away. Please if you have any experience with these generics and especially the new rhodes/Purdue one let me know. Again I was able to locate only one image of them and they look great. They do not look small like hi tech more like a combined Roxanne and mylan with the shininess and how they pop out on each side..they look a little larger like the mylan and Roxanne not small like hi tech or teva or activas they are round tablet imprints RP b8 with b and 8 fairly far apart. Any feedback would be great and I would want to switch to rhodes/Purdue from roxanne (now westward being a factor) generics as they make quality are new just released and approved this year 2017 of October and no one how even mentioned them yet that I can find. With westward buying out Roxanne and them making changes a new generic made by Purdue may be just the one we have been waiting for and needing..again on the 54 411 ones now and looking for feedback on the new Purdue Rhodes ones and if the switch from Roxanne westward to rhodes/Purdue would be better maybe with better quality as they have always been a great and reputable company who makes outstanding drugs. Any feedback would be great.
Re: Jack175 (# 714)
Does it help your pain?! How bad is your back?! So sorry to hear that as back pain neck pain are the some of the worst! I suffer from both. I have met people who have rheumatoid arthritis on there spine I can’t even imagine that! I am so glad I found this thread of cool people who understand it helps me a lot! Goozer is my go to guy as he started this conversation:)! Thanks buddy!
Re: Jack175 (# 713)
How is it for pain I have ankylosing spondylitis and i take subutex for pain and other reasons how well would you compare the belbucas butrans to subutex for pain? Which provides more pain relief?
Re: Jack175 (# 714)
Yup, they are called "buccals".
Re: Vic (# 712)
Hey, thanks for the note. Yes, brand only and it's a small wafer that you stick on your cheek for 12 hours.
Re: Goozer (# 710)
Hey, thanks for the response. That's the one. Trying to get used to it, Prescribed for chronic back pain, and can't take schedule 2 meds. 2nd month on it and up to 600mcg.
Re: Jack175 (# 709)
Hi:),
No I have not tried it or heard of it! My health insurance won’t pay for this. It sounds like this is offered in film only? I have always used tablets. It’s a brand name and not a generic! It sounds great! Wish I could try it! I am not a fan of generics!
Re: Jack175 (# 709)
Also known as Belbuca, Probuphine, Buprenex, and Butrans. It is a narcotic It can treat pain as well as addiction to narcotic pain relievers.it is a partial opioid agonist as well they are simply put buccal films prescribed for pain relief. It is buprenorphine in buccal form which is marketed and patented for pain relief for "on label" use. For example an off label med would be if a dr rxed subutex for pain when it was not approved marketed or patented for that reason. Buccals are very interesting and it sure took em long enough to approve a form of buprenorphine for actual pain and on label.but simply put is buprenorphine form film (buccal (pressed inside your cheek for placement) ) made for chronic pain relief and treatment of chronic pain but is just buprenorphine made by indivior formerly reckitt benckiser just like subutex but in buccal and McG forms
Re: Jack175 (# 709)
Yes belbucas or butrans are transdermal patches that usually are applied to the skin and I belbucas are placed (stamped) in the side of a patients inner cheek for a kind of extended release / longer acting lil harder hitting lil more potent buprenorphine. Butrans are dosed in mcgs not your normal mg and are a preferred method of bup in take for some. Quite pricey and newest form of approved buprenorphine rxed for actual pain as well. A good drug for pain and opiate recovery.
Hi, I started reading from the beginning of this thread and the jumped forward to the present. I'm sorry if this has already been brought up and I missed it, but does anyone have any knowledge or experience with Belbuca? if so please let me know, Thanks
Re: Charlene (# 694)
Hi Charlene,
I feel the same way as you do! The pharmaceuticals should be hung! Now this year 2019 I was warned about it by my pain dr! It all comes down to money - f*** money! We shouldn’t have to research and try to find what we need?! Total bs and who suffers?! We all do! I got the high tech 8 arrow on it and it’s better then a lot of them! But it’s different as well, genetic drugs why? They can the good stuff but they don’t! I take an anti depressant for resistant type of depression and I firmly believe that after two surgeries and I got so hooked on pain pills and I miss them sometimes!!!! In 2012 I lost my job my home so much more and I firmly believe that the pain pills took away from my serotonin feel good part of my brain and I suffer for it! The bups were so good and helper me and now look at it all! The hitech doesn’t last long and the RP b8 s****y stuff! The 153 orange crap! More later
Re: Bobby (# 702)
First off guys there are no new himkas. Himkas have been round for years now prior to Roxanne leaving and if you guys cant tell the difference idk what to say. Also rhodes may possibly have a little less than the active ingredient than brand or it may even have more but nonetheless is identical in active and active ingredients just like greenstone and phizer alprazolam. It is fact..fo the research they are made the same..except maybe they put less of active in it but also possible there is more but chemical make up as lis tu ed by the FDA active and inactive ingredients and lab tested done for experiment they are identical to brand..except for imprint. Fact.. himkas are not new..fact..himkas nothing compared to Roxanne..fact..rhodes may be to strong for some fact..everyone is different but facts are there..lol don't just state non factional opinions lol do your research experiment b4 u conclude cuz fact..Rhodes is same as brand just like the tevas. Fact rhodes are same as old tevas.
Re: davidjw1 (# 705)
I still get himkas David I understand exactly what u mean I still get a few of the generics
Re: Goozer (# 689)
Regarding the image comparison. Not sure where you got the 54 411. But the ones I get and prefer to all of them are the Hikma and I wish I knew how to submit a photo of the ones I get. But they are hard as a rock, chamfered on both sides, the tamp 54 411 is is clean, and precise as well as the finish on both sides and the circumference are very shiny. In my opinion these are very well made. I have very strong hands and fingers and to break these in half takes some effort. If someone could provide me instruction to submit my 8mg Hikma Buprenorphine, I will be happy to provide a picture. I am no expert by any means on this buprenorphine but my experience with two prescriptions or more are of Hi Tech, Rhodes Pharma, Actavis, Mylan, Sun and Westward now Hikma. We are all different. Rating for me is Hikma #1, Rhodes #2, Mylan #3, Actavis #4, Hi Tech #5 and the infamous burn by Sun #6. I don't want to get into why, just that for me the Hikma work best. I truly hope we can all have what we need to stay happy and successful. This medication saved my life. PERIOD!! Stay well!!
Re: Goozer (# 700)
I Like hi tech but they are so small it’s hard to do just one!
Much better then RP b8 or the 153 orange nasty! FDA took it away as much as they could! Has anyone tried the new 54/411?! Roxanne was the best! Is there anything else that works?!
Re: Bobby (# 702)
Bobby, you are telling the truth. I agree with everything you said. There is no comparison!
Re: Goozer (# 692)
The Rhodes might say the ingredients are the same or close to the old brand name but they are not even close to being those old brand pills. Original Subutex pills were so potent and talk about well made! Teva was close but nothing that's around now is even in the same ball park as those two. Don't get me wrong Rhodes is decent probably the best or imo on par with the new hikimas that they have been putting out lately.
Re: Vic (# 699)
Hi:),
I received the high tech the small one w the 8 and arrow on it. They helped me feel much better! I miss Roxanne 54/411, to me the best!
Re: Vic (# 699)
Yes the Akron pharma/ hi tech makes quality meds a lot of people like these small ones so they can iv. I'm very happy that you found a generic that is working for you it is possible that high Tech change their formula or added more of the active ingredients because honestly normally they get quite a lot of negative feedback but I've always liked high Tech they make quality products and I'm happy you found a generic that works for you but again roads generic is brand name but I'm so happy that you found what you wanted and is working for you God-bless the healthy stand together 3 happy
Re: Goozer (# 683)
Hi,
I just found the hi tech 8 and arrow on them and let me tell you compared to what I have had the last two months these are golden! Well check in later!!! Costco has them Washington state!!!!!!
Re: Charlene (# 694)
I believe in theirysbas well but no way will I let them wipe out I fight with all my might and have the will power of a perfectionist they ain't getting me wiped..lol we will wipe them first #standtogether4lyfe and to answer your question...the answer is money money money..follow the money cuz the answers always lie there. I am driving but will re read your question when I'm not with a better answer and yes yes yes always question what you think is morally wrong otherwise nothing will change
