Rhodes/purdue Buprenorphine Hcl 8mg Rp B8 Vs Roxanne 54 411 (Page 14) (Top voted first)

Updated

I have made the switch from the 8mg films to 8mg buprenorphine tablets only. With all the research I've done and experience I do my best to stay away from actavis mylan and nowadays sandoz. I noticed everyone has enjoyed the Roxanne now westward generics amongst hi-tech coming in second/mylan. I have no experience with mylan bup and don't want to take the risk even as mylan has always been a waste imo. I'm not a fan of allergan (actavis) taking over watson so depending on the drug dispenses I most stay away. There are as of now 7 manufacturers of generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg (generic subutex). They are in order of my preferred with not much experience except with brand name:

*roxanne (now westward pharma)- 54 411
*hi tech- 8 ^(arrow)
*mylan- M924
*teva (allergen/activas owned) crooked b 799
*actavis- moon 153
*sun pharma- 460 white round
[And the brand new released generic made by Purdue and distributed by Rhodes Pharmaceuticals the new Rhodes generic]
*RP b8- white round bevelled and pretending edges.

I currently have had a smooth switch to the Roxanne/westward and declined mylan, actavis, teva, hi tech, sun pharma as most research and reviews conclude the Roxanne/westward generics the 54 411 seem to be best reviewed. I was unable to find the Purdue/Rhodes pharma newly released generic RB b8 imprinted generic. All I know is Rhodes and Purdue are professionals in the process of making quality meds and not just quality meds but pain relief medication, as they even were the company to CREATE oxycontin. I was able to come across one image of them on the web and they look very similar to the Roxanne 54 411s in size color and mostly shape except for the rhodes/Purdue ones protrude or kind of pop out on each side beyond the bevelled edges. They look really well made and on one side they have RP and otherside b 8 which the b and 8 are fairly far apart. I have been doing great from switching from brand films to the Roxanne westward 54 411s so far. I'm hoping to get some feedback by next month on these newly released rhodes/Purdue generic buprenorphine hcl 8mg. They are the newest and just released October 2017 and look very shinny and quality made. I'm hoping someone here who has tried both the Roxanne/westward and the new Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8 tablets. I am going to try and have my pharmacy special order the new Rhodes generics made by Purdue again imprinted RP b 8 white round shinny tablets fairly similar to the Roxanne but look better quality imo but do not have much experience with generic just brand and am very well versed on pharma companies and their medicine and their quality each one has.

Has anyone tried these new rhodes/Purdue ones imprinted RP b 8? How would you compare them to the Roxanne 54 411 tablets... I hope for a response or it will be trail and error for me when ordering Rhodes next month if i stay on this route and will see how they compare to the Roxanne/westward but will not be til a month away. Please if you have any experience with these generics and especially the new rhodes/Purdue one let me know. Again I was able to locate only one image of them and they look great. They do not look small like hi tech more like a combined Roxanne and mylan with the shininess and how they pop out on each side..they look a little larger like the mylan and Roxanne not small like hi tech or teva or activas they are round tablet imprints RP b8 with b and 8 fairly far apart. Any feedback would be great and I would want to switch to rhodes/Purdue from roxanne (now westward being a factor) generics as they make quality are new just released and approved this year 2017 of October and no one how even mentioned them yet that I can find. With westward buying out Roxanne and them making changes a new generic made by Purdue may be just the one we have been waiting for and needing..again on the 54 411 ones now and looking for feedback on the new Purdue Rhodes ones and if the switch from Roxanne westward to rhodes/Purdue would be better maybe with better quality as they have always been a great and reputable company who makes outstanding drugs. Any feedback would be great.

Yes. They are both very attractive drugs.for some reason I think methadone is worse. But I never had it to compare

Re: goozer (# 285) Expand Referenced Message

I agree 100% . I cannot see myself driving to the clinic every single day, having to visit some type of therapy they require, and if you want to see the dr. That to is a long process..I'm not into any of that those people that want to rave so much on how better they have it..I just think well I have 3 scripts and I'm good to go...when me and my sister started talking again I mentioned it and she was in disbelief..she was like really you got scripts for months..yes..

Yes goozer, my son is 26 I think he got his benefits 5 years ago...I to have gotten disability for along time now, I think it was 1992..so its S.S.D. . I went to a physciatrist and i told him i was thinking about it and if i did would you be willing to help me out with the paperwork..he said yes..it was for depression. But at that time he labeled it as major disorder depression. I had no trouble what so ever..once i started the paperwork it took around 4 months to wait and see. In the meantime I worked at a hospital to i used my long term disability so i would still get paid while waiting..once approved they added all the months up and my first check from them was around $2,000 after that monthly on the 3rd it about $800 but my husband works. I could never do it on my own...so i signed my son up. Again no problem.i know a guy who has been trying for a long time. He cannot get it..i told him go see a physciatrist..

Re: goozer (# 283) Expand Referenced Message

I agree again, soma is so much better. That's what I used to always get..now this pain management dr I saw, he is the one back in the day load be up with lortab 10s along with some..I used to get all my pills from him prior to me starting bup.. but when I seen him he was willing to give the percocet 10s no problem. He mentioned baclofen, I said how about soma ? I could tell he was not caving in at this point so I let it go.. the baclofen did nothing for me it was the first time I even heard of them..I take my son to him now and that must be what's he give now so my son gets those and lortab 10...I took him there because I found out he was getting into my subs..so that dr gave him suboxone he will not give subutex..so I had my son jump from subs to lortabs..if he is going to take something I think I rather it be that then subs because of how addictive I am to bup..I don't ever want my son to feel like that

Omg I am panicking- my dr is is sick and isn’t seeing anymore patients. I don’t know where to turn! Do you have any advice for our area? I was supposed to go this Tuesday and they called me late last night. It sounds like he is not going to make it since they are closing his practice! I don’t know what to do bc most places only want to rx
Suboxone.... I would be so grateful if you could share anywhere that gets you in quickly or where you go? I’m a cash patient.... thanks in advance!!! :(

Re: Tara (# 299) Expand Referenced Message

Hi tara, if I posted this twice it's by mistake. So Dr. Carmona is at 2400 Harbor Blvd. 941-255-0405. He is very good, by chance if they are booked up...Dr Laura tait. 25097 E. Olympia ave. 941-214-4637. She is fresh out of college from the university of Jacksonville Florida. She is 32ish. Very attractive, anyhow she is just starting out and building up her client's. She takes all sorts of insurance if you have none she is by far still the cheapest starting out at $100-$200 depending I guess..now I like her so much..they told me my last visit they have been having issues with my insurance and for now either I have to switch or self pay, or find a new doctor. But I'm going to change my insurance for them because I'm on disability and we have the right to do so every Oct. I have never done it in my whole disability since 2005. But this will be my first time..now I'm not sure where your coming from let me know gosh with my bup. Use for so long I can gives you name from puntal gorda, port Charlotte, venice, and Sarasota has alot of drs up that way if your going to jump on 75 and go that way..let me know how you make out. Feedback. Thanks and I'm wishing you so much luck.

Re: Tara (# 299) Expand Referenced Message

Tara, these two doctors I told you about will most definitely prescribe subutex. That is all I have ever got from either doctor is subutex..if you go to one of them just be prepared for an answer back to them IF THEY should ask you why you take this one opposed to suboxone. I have had drs ask me that question and my answer is always the same, I'm allergic to the naloxone or it just doesn't agree with me. I came up with that answer at the beginning of treatment the first 6 days I was put on subutex, day 7 suboxone. I didn't like it for several reasons..on top of that even back then it was a huge price difference for me so I decided to come up with a reasonable explanation other than money because the drs dont care about that soni looked at what allergies there where and bingo that's all it took. So anytime I have seen a new dr..some ask some dont. I took them and I got these huge bumps on my body, my lips blistered up I even went so far ones to tell them I didn't know what hives were I went to my local pharmacy and showed and ask what is this and what can I buy over the counter....now I only had to use this once or twice..like a few years ago I had this nasty dr..he gave me my subutex. I told him that's all I have ever used, call any pharmacy you want you, will need years and years of just subutex use..but dont worry about these two. Not at all. Just you never know so have an answer ready for a just in case.

I’m not going into it. I’m just saying to you, what the Specialist said to me while I was in California. I’ve been off of opiate pain medication since 12-6-2017 and haven’t wanted any since. I don’t want to go back on it. With that, you can look it up on the internet, why some people don’t have the dependence and some do. I know why I didn’t, but to me, I think your crossing the line with the confidentiality with patient-doctor oath. That’s why you talk to a doctor and not someone you don’t know on the internet. Sorry for the inconvenience, but that’s the end of this conversation. I’m sorry.

Re: Tara (# 299) Expand Referenced Message

Is there like a Prompt Care or a Crisis Center you can go to? Let them know what’s going on and they can send you to a new doctor. The doctor you were seeing, his practice should’ve referred you to another doctor. You can also go to the hospital when you run out and they will help you.

Re: goozer (# 288) Expand Referenced Message

Well Goozer, not in the a MidWest. We have to be referred to a Specialist and they have to have the license to prescribe Buprenorphine. Otherwise we can’t go to that doctor. Laws are different from state to state. Actually, the city I live in, isn’t where I get my Buprenorphine. I have to drive a hour and half to go to the doctor, sit in their office for 2 hours and then talk to them about how I’m doing. Then drive back home. So it’s a all day trip for me each time I see this doctor.

Re: goozer (# 284) Expand Referenced Message

I dont know who you talked to about disability...I happen to know a hand full of ppl on disability...most of them went to a physciatrist that's the easiest for many reasons. Nobody can look in your head and see why your depressed. The other 2 that applied only one got disability. He knew the system very well. He had back problems and other aches and pains here and there he is actually the one that helped me and my son it didn't take long at all. I've never had to go to any court hearing we just got paperwork saying approved in the mail..and the last guy did get it either and is going to keep trying. I told him maybe applying through physciatry it may work better so you don't have to have an xray, or MRI even if you do have these for proof. One girl in my kratom group she finally got but it took at least 5 years of waiting and waiting for an answer and they just sent her letter of approval, so she's happy now. So think about maybe applying with a different dr. and see what happens...if I can help you in any way let me know, maybe I can help.

Re: T (# 309) Expand Referenced Message

I found a doctor unfortunately an hour away. My doctor didn’t refer me to anyone, I’m absolutely upset about that but understanding bc apparently he won’t be able to practice medicine anymore, that’s how sick he was. He may have even passed away after taking to his wife! She wouldn’t say much. It’s nust ridiculous that I’ve been on subs for a while and it works for me, yet most docs won’t give anything but suboxone- and I do have legit reasons why I can’t take naloxone. They just say no without looking at medical history. So that needs to change! Not everyone is drug seeking so it sucks for those of us who are legit. Thanks for the advise, praying for my appt to go well tomorrow!

Re: Tara (# 312) Expand Referenced Message

I wasn't finished with my text on the other one. I went all the way to California to get put on this medication. The doctor there, was across the country, he prescribed the buprenorphine for me, until I found a doctor in my home State to prescribe it. It took me 2 months to find a doctor. The reason why is because this medication is mainly prescribed for addictions and they want to get you off of it within a year. I'm not a addict. I really need this medication for my severe pain, do to a genetic Syndrome I have. It causes me severe pain daily. I wish you well and I sure hope you find somebody who can help you.
