Rhodes Pharmaceuticals Percocet (Page 2)

I have been taking 10/325 for years and my pharmacy filled this one with Rhodes pharmaceutical product. I have been taking now for 3 days. I have been sick to my stomach, neck, and jaw pain and it does not relief the pain it is prescribed for. Why could this be?

Yes I am with you on that ! It’s so a medicaid and medicAre thing . Based on what coverage you have is what name brands of generics you get ! And if you are disabled you get the posion this is evil beyond ! I have combined through my food water hell my WiFi everything I knew it had to be the meds but I am fatigue and in pain and it’s several of my meds all hit ! Adderall Percocet and now my Xanax ! This is so evil ! And they break it up with managed Medicaid so it doesn’t even look like just medicaid in general but it is based on your coverage what manufactures of generics you get !

All these horror stories from all of us! OMG we HAVE been victimized. There has to be an attorney out there to represent us in Class Action. Mr Morgan of Morgan & Morgan understands pain as he pushed & fought to legalize medical marijuana. ATTORNEY MORGAN PLEASE I HOPE YOU HAVE ADDRESSED MY LETTERS TO YOU!! I myself am highly allergic to even the fumes of marijuana. In college I ended up in the ER from breathing residual smoke from it at a concert; that was yrs back when cannabis could be smoked anywhere!
Anyway everyone, all of you good LONG TERM NON ACUTE CHRONIC PAIN PATIENTS we should be “grandfathered” into receiving what we need. I can understand new strides for new-comer’s but for us our bodies are physically/medically dependent. 20 yrs ago I was a guinea pig study in pain mgmt w/ use of opioids. In the hands of the best medical professionals. I've written to all the higher-ups. I pray they consider us. Amen.

What I understand from what I've read is that Rhodes was told to lower the amount of oxy across the board, they in conjunction with Purdue were my saving grace at 30 mg, but the cut to 15 makes it impossible to find. Less pain relief, I'm going in for a retest of my heart which is only at 20% at best but the pain in my head and neck has increased and walking is really hard with congestive heart failure from a stent closure, but I think am in great trouble now. No power only pain stinks and I was a bodybuilder, natural, as I was so skinny and 9/11 provided pulmonary tumors so I'm scared! Feel better, check yourself out and then try some Prilosec to coat your stomach.
For the first time in the 19 years I have been on opioids (Percocet 10-325), every single pharmacy in my town, CVS, Walgreens, RiteAid, Costco and Walmart, are all dispensing Rhodes. I phoned my doctor who was willing to write another script stating "Use Brand Name Only". I took it to the pharmacy only to find out that it is $2028 for the monthly supply. I plan on stocking up on Tylenol and a good anti-diahrreal drug as these supplements are the only things that will help get me through the month with this nearly worthless drug!
Re: MeJane (# 38)
Go to a Mom POP pharmacy, have your Dr write Mallinckrodt only ... they have to fill it! Also get a note saying you can't take medication with dyes & fillers ! Don’t ever take any Rhodes meds, they make you violently ill !
Re: Emily (# 39)
Yes Endocet is the most consistent. My Dr has written that for me every month medically necessary as well. However not one pharmacy can order it for me saying it is unavailable!! Its unbelievable the run around Ive lived as well this past year or so. Ive been a chronic pain patient for 15yrs & have never experienced such hell every month. I have no choice but to settle w/ horrible side effects from these new generic low quality pills. There's been a definite change in formulation to silently detox &/or slowly (hate to say) kill us. God bless us all innocently victimized by this. Our lives were fine until now as our lifeline that took us years of trials, failed surgeries, etc to receive this med has been taken away from us.
Re: Sue (# 37)
I have endocet brand of Percocet 10/325. They work the best. Always consistent. I have the dr write endocet. It’s a generic but it works wonders. Have tried many different ones. If it says endocet they have to fill it.
Re: Sue (# 37)
I've read bad reviews on Rhodes 10/325. It's sad cuz it seems all generic percocet formulations have been modified for the worst. So many of us now on this site w/ the same issues that it cant be a coincidence in tolerance, etc issues. I take alvogen now which I'm stuck with. I'm trying to get Mallinkrodt generic which is white with no dyes & has good reviews but cant find a pharmacy that carries it or will order. Hope this helped a little. Godspeed! We must fight this victimization together & be heard!
Re: K lip (# 4)
How r Roades oxycodone 10mg with Tylenol. I am looking for generic Percocet that works. Any feedback is appreciated. Sue
Because most pain relief generics are junk. The only good ones are made by Mallinckrodt. Been on them for years (strength 10-325). My pharmacists know for sure if the Boss won't order the Mallinckrodt I'll pay the piper and pay $63.00 for a month's supply of brand name PERCOCET.
Re: Tookie (# 34)
I really think & know by trying different brand generics this past year that all generics of percocet have definately been altered/changed in formulas & horrible fillers. All these years taking this med as a managed chronic pain patient NEVER have I experienced any bad side effect til this “crisis”... In fact I feel something has been removed eliminating the energy & positive feeling factor.
Re: Tookie (# 24)
Rhodes medication is carried by all pharmacies: it is a terrible drug that causes terrible side effects. The pharmacies carry it because it's cheaper! Pharmacies today have no regard for the patient!
Re: Larry (# 1)
I realize this is an old post but the info could help someone down the line. I am an RN. As Larry said, neck and jaw pain accompanied with nausea could very well be symptoms of a heart attack or stroke. Please don’t down play these symptoms, go get checked at your ER. If it isn’t either that’s wonderful as those symptoms could be other things, but NEVER take that chance. Way to look out Larry!
Re: Nicole (# 20)
I hear ya. I've been on 10/500 for years, then the 10/325s. Always liked Mallinckrodt the best but insurance wants to be cheap so Walmart's Rhodes was it. Now with the opioid crisis those of us that depend on our meds are suffering because the illegal users and dope heads overdosing are causing us more pain and unable to buy or get our brands, and the govt is not helping. I feel your pain now. We need a movement.
Re: Nicole (# 20)
I was just raised on my dosage to 10/325 and found out that Hyvee carries Mallinkrodt brand ~ the only one my regular pharmacy can get is Purdue, which I can’t find any info on. I had been taking the Mallinkrodt in the 5/325 with okay results. Well guess what??!! Not so for the 10/325 Mallinkrodt! I have been extremely ill since taking it 2 1/2 weeks ago, plus NO pain relief. Symptoms are really bad upset stomach, nausea, extremely fatigued, headache, hard to urinate and just a general all over feeling of being sick ~ like the flu. So even different doses can make a huge difference. Hyvee said they can order Endocet brand if the doctor specifically puts it on the prescription (as medically necessary). That is the only brand that seems to be the best in most people’s opinions and trust me, I have done lots of homework searching all the drug forums and other sources for as much info as I can get. This time I think I will have my doctor prescribe for just one week to make sure they work for me. I can’t go a month being extremely ill anymore and not knowing if any permanent harm has been done to my body. It seems from everything I’ve read that most of the problems are happening in the 7/325 and 10/325 dosages. I had the same problem with the 7/325’s six months ago when my pharmacy switched brands on me without telling me. The new brand was AMNEAL and they also made me extremely ill. This is all so frustrating as we, the patient, shouldn’t have to do investigative work until we find the right generic brand. I think it’s criminal on the part of generic pharmaceuticals to make people ill, plus still have to deal with no pain relief. I found out that I have to be my own advocate as no one else will be. So wrong!!
Re: Larry (# 1)
I had the same while taking those for my chronic pain. the symptoms were very scary. just as u described. never again. something is seriously wrong in that medication.
Re: David (# 2)
There must be a new additive. Drastic change in side effects I share as well SUDDENLY after years of taking Percocet that I finally after years of failed surgeries etc put on that has made my life tolerable to live a balanced life. No way could this be coincidental as to so many in pain mgmt for years taking same med suddenly experiencing horrible side effects as I have read on this site. Something is terribly wrong.
Re: Emily (# 26)
I think I got used to them. Not as strong the pain clinic issues my prescription every 28 days. So when I take my Endocet script in they never have it have to wait 3 days cause they order on Friday. I call them ahead of time. I think there giving me a hard time because it’s now from pain clinic and not my family DR. He stopped writing out pain meds. I’ve been there 3 yrs at cvs. Now they look at me different. I can’t help it I have pain. I’m going to have to take less until I can get my endocet. I have them write out script for endocet. Maybe that’s why? They have to order them. And they can’t give me Rhodes
