Remeron And Symgen

Hi, I am 47 years of age , male and have anxiety disorder. I have been using Remeron 30mg for almost a year and a half with mild effect. My doctor then prescribed symgen 30mg as well which leads to heavy heart palpitations and something like a shortness of breath in the mornings (This is the only way I can describe it.) Can I simply stop the cymgen or should I wait a little longer for these side effects to subcide.

Hey. I can't answer your question. But I'm on same combo as you. Its good but weight gain is terrible! Do you know if I can stop taking remeron suddenly after 9 years and continue with cymgem without getting bad side effects?

How long have you been taking the Cymgen? Side effects are typically transient and taper off in severity, then go away entirely, once your body gets used to a medication, but it can take 4 or 5 weeks.

Nita, no, if you stop it suddenly, you will most likely experience some withdrawal effects, such as nausea, diarrhea, rebound depression and rebound anxiety, as listed by the FDA. A slow taper with medical assistance would be best.
