Refilling My Valid Xanax Prescription Early (Page 33)

I only see one doctor and he gives me a 3 month supply of xanax. When I went the last time he wrote me out a prescription but I still had two refills. I had a friend and her husband passed away and I gave her some of mine thinking I would have no problem re-filling the prescription. I had sense enough not to go to the same pharmacy and not to give my insurance information. So I go to this small drug store by my house and I had to fill out paperwork such as dob, name and my DL #. Well they paged me to the front of the store and advised me that it was 7 days to early for them to re-fill. So my question is where can I go to re-fill a prescription that is valid written by the same doctor. I only tried one place, I'm guessing they must have a data base if you try and refill your prescription early (even without your insurance) does anyone have advice on where I can go to get this filled?

If u have a paper rx and it’s more or less they HAVE to fill it cuz it’s a new prescription.

Been in your shoes before my friend only thing I learned I could do that work is to talk to my doctor make up an excuse a good one at that and have her write a note saying to please fill now I’ve had at work a few times which I want to try it a few times. Can you tell me though what your doctors name is and where at and if he prescribes bars

I would never give anybody one pill out of my 120 Xanax bars. You are risking somebody blacking out, driving killing somebody. Don’t do stupid stuff

How is this medication being paid for? If it is insurance, they say when it can be refilled. NO pharmacy can override your insurance. Also, there are refill laws (depending on where you live) that says when a pharmacy may refill a prescription. This may not be the answer you are looking for but it is one answer.

YOU are correct. No one HAS to do anything especially when it comes to refilling a prescription OR filling a new prescription if it is not time for you to get a refill.I did not notice but the original post is 8 years old.

Never had one problem, I started with adderall and Xanax .5 when I was 16. I was taking alprazolam till 2 years ago but that is outrageous.

A lot has changed since Kerri wrote this in 2012. People should keep in mind these days in most States, the original prescribing Doctor can see the exact day and location you filled your last script. Since this involved refills, I'm not sure what paperwork Kerri had, a transfer involves a pharmacy to pharmacy communication. I've filled early or duplicate scripts in the past, but I wouldn't do it these days if you value your prescriber?

Wallgreens allows you to fill 2 or 3 days early as long as it doesn’t say “do not fill before ____ “.

Be careful the government monitors your prescriptions by diff doctors/pharmacies/days early requesting etc. it’s called PROP and there’s a new one that monitors patients in every state. This isn’t a person reviewing the prescriptions it’s an algorithm. I was flagged for going to a different Walgreens location closer to my new job, I was in the hospital so diff doctors prescribed meds (1-2 at a time) I have been banned from pain and anxiety/ptsd (ironically doctors/gov/insurance caused the ptsd) meds. In MN if you are on Medicaid/Medicare you’re targeted and the dept oh human services brags about forcing life saving meds from vets, elderly, poor, disabled, homeless etc. While they are the most corrupt department in the state. I know for a fact that target these people since I never had any issues when I was on private insurance. If you’re pro socialized medicine do a lot of research because you’re medical care will be controlled by politicians who know nothing about medicine. I was successful and had great insurance then my debilitating health issues started and now I’m homeless not because I’m lazy exact opposite I’d give anything to work again.

I'm located in Minnesota (St. Paul) and have refills on my Xanax script, but for some reason everywhere I go makes it so hard on me to get my medicine. Knowing that memory loss is one of the top side effects, because they are taking Venom from snakes and mixing it with Alprazolam. Please note that I am not taking or abusing my medication in anyway. It's just very hard on me keeping up with them because I need them put into a package and I need a lock bag of some type to store my medicine, because Alprazolam mixed with my other meds are just right. I just don't want to get red flagged for something I have no control over. I'd also really appreciate it if I could get a different Manufacturing company for my Xanax. No Y-21s and no GG Ya ming's. Thanks.

You can have your valid controlled prescription transferred once to any pharmacy of your choice. The prescription is only valid for 6 months, these are Federal laws. Other restrictions may apply in your State. Why not just get them mailed to you? If you are on a mission to get your favorite brand, good luck

Another thing that comes to mind, and I almost forgot, Xanax does not cause memory loss, and they are not injecting Snake Venom in Xanax. Dude stay away from those conspiracy sites.
