Refilling My Valid Xanax Prescription Early (Page 32)

I only see one doctor and he gives me a 3 month supply of xanax. When I went the last time he wrote me out a prescription but I still had two refills. I had a friend and her husband passed away and I gave her some of mine thinking I would have no problem re-filling the prescription. I had sense enough not to go to the same pharmacy and not to give my insurance information. So I go to this small drug store by my house and I had to fill out paperwork such as dob, name and my DL #. Well they paged me to the front of the store and advised me that it was 7 days to early for them to re-fill. So my question is where can I go to re-fill a prescription that is valid written by the same doctor. I only tried one place, I'm guessing they must have a data base if you try and refill your prescription early (even without your insurance) does anyone have advice on where I can go to get this filled?

Go to a psychiatrist general physicians usually won’t prescribe.

DO NOT SHARE YOUR MEDICATION WITH ANYONE. IT IS A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE AND YOU COULD BE DENIED ANY REFILLS ACCORDING TO GOVERNMENT STRICT LAWS.

Never hand out prescription medication to anyone.
Leaving yourself "short" is not the pharmacy's problem and if your doctor finds out, he will cut you off.

Hi yes they know everything about your medicationsituation that you get it is a law now to have it on a data base if hospitals know what when and all that too if you really need this medication which you do or would not be on it but one thing please don't try to go any where else Bc They will inform your dr and then you probably would be released as a patient I know someone who got their self in the same situation just trying to help somebody and when they went back to the doctor the dr release her.for one he told her you can't I've your medication to someone else and then you try to go to another Pharmacy to get them early.don't go to another pharmacy.Bc he will release you.and then they put it in your records and you would have a hard time ever getting them back trust me this can happen I do understand you was only helping a friend but they won't ..

If the dose has increased they should fill it whenever you would run out on the new dose. Also Wallgreens will let you fill 3 days early as long as the doctor hasn’t written “do not fill before ____” if it’s before that date.

Stop giving your medication to other people! It is wrong and illegal. It is people like you that ruin it for the rest of us that truly need our medication. Stop it!

Hello There is a database that all scripts are run through. And the electronic prescription put a end to getting mutiple perscriptions.So long gone are the days of paying cash to fill a script.So if you are on a benzo take them as prescribed or you will find yourself in Benzo Hell

won’t happen. maybe in 2010. You have to be grandfathered in by taking the large dose of alprazolam where they would have to prescribe it. Drs will try to give u SSRIs when u say anxiety. say you get panic attacks

Do not give other people your Xanax,or any other drug! You may not want to take them either. I have been taking Xanax for 30 years and are having trouble with my memory. Now my doc tells me that Xanax causes memory loss. Why didn't she tell me that years ago!! I have been taking it for 30 years for panic attacks. She also told me that Benedryl, which I had taking for years, causes memory loss and possibly dementia. Benedryl is the only thing that relieves my horrible allergies. Come on docs, then we are taking something harmful to us, TELL US!

You will have to wait they will not no place not even in another state you are being monitor at all times be careful that you do not get RED FLAGED thats when you try getting it early or go to different PHARMACYS.if you still had 2 refills why would he had to write another script they will hold that for you till your refills are done.did you get the script back some will try to keep it.I seen this lady try that and it was true her sister husband passed away.and she told them she gave her a few they said you can't do that she did not know I guess she was old well they kept it and said they will call her dr and if she wanted to continue at this pharmacy they would honor it only if the dr gave permission but see that was not her regular pharmacy so it looked like she was trying to get more medication without the dr knowing she went to a different place plusI guess she did not tell her dr that what she had done .

I mean this in the kindest way, and please don't be offended by what I am going to say please. A, you could now be under suspicion for conspiracy to violate the drug laws, by knowingly, giving your friend any Narcotic medication prescribed to you. That is a minimum of 2 charges in my state. However, in 2011, there were only 12/50 states that didn't employ the Statewide Prescription Monitoring System, basically due to the State of Florida's opioid epidemic, where you were able to see 5 different Drs, M-F, and pay for all of your prescriptions, and I know people who were getting 240 Oxycodone 30 mg tablets and 90 OC 80 mg tablets from each Dr, and that is 1650 pills per week, so as of now there are 3 states that don't have the Statewide Prescription Monitoring Program. I hope not, but if an employee or a rat patient at your Drs Office or the Pharmacy says something to your Doctor, they will immediately Discharge you, no questions asked. I am not claiming to be a know it all, but having friends dealt with this and do years in Prison, I am simply basing it on facts.

NH even has a prescription monitoring system finally. We didn’t until maybe 2012, maybe later, but all states do now.
