Refilling My Valid Xanax Prescription Early (Page 25) (Top voted first)

I only see one doctor and he gives me a 3 month supply of xanax. When I went the last time he wrote me out a prescription but I still had two refills. I had a friend and her husband passed away and I gave her some of mine thinking I would have no problem re-filling the prescription. I had sense enough not to go to the same pharmacy and not to give my insurance information. So I go to this small drug store by my house and I had to fill out paperwork such as dob, name and my DL #. Well they paged me to the front of the store and advised me that it was 7 days to early for them to re-fill. So my question is where can I go to re-fill a prescription that is valid written by the same doctor. I only tried one place, I'm guessing they must have a data base if you try and refill your prescription early (even without your insurance) does anyone have advice on where I can go to get this filled?

I have been using CVS mail order for 18 years. Not once during that time was I ever short on medication. Their call center is H*** but their pharmacy seems, "OK". A couple of times I had to call the pharmacy as the pills change shape/color/size, I was not assured very strongly that they knew what they were talking about, but AFAIK all pills come as advertised.

Can anyone give me information on where or who l can see for my Xanax as valium 5mg 3 times a day isn't helping me like the Xanax or karma 2mg twice a day did it helped me so much an now am at a loss where l go to get them prescribed as b4 l moved l was on them for 5 years an they used to ring up an get authorization but since moving l cant find a softer to prescribe them plz help me l live in Rosebud ,Victoria Australia plz

Is it in Australia as my doctor of 10years passed away an he had been prescribeing them to me for over 5 years,The new owner doctor prescribed them for 9 months an in that time l moved an now won't prescribe them for me what can l do as the valium 5mg 3 times a day aint helping me as much an that doctor says he cant or he lose his licence which l dont understand as it was that surgery that had prescribed them for 5 years with the governments permission please if anyone can help my angina attacks are getting worse so please help me

Walmart does 3 days early if you have a small Walmart not super center go there, if not go to regular walmart

I wouldn't necessarily b**** about CVS in this matter. In the last 2 years, CVS has had the FDA looking over their shoulder with a microscope. I used to be able to renew Lunesta online, now I have to call in and talk to a real person before they send it out to me.

CVS here in MA will only fill Xanax 3 days early 3 times in a row then you can only get them 4 days early for awhile.....
Iam ting to figure out Rita aid's ways and how early the fill there Benzo's I know pharmacys have to fill a t least 2 to 4 day early it all depends on the pharmacist or who's working that day.... so if anyone knows anything about Rite Aid and their two men mg Xanax refill I would love to know how many days early they will fill thank you in advance

Rite Aid has now become a last day refill pharmacy. If you complain they might fill it with two days left but they actually keep a numerical score on you which is printed on the paperwork given, how things have changed

They have a 3-day I work for the Rite Aid Pharmacy.... They do this because of the DEA they watch every move on patients getting scripts filled as well as the pharmacy....The pharmacy can get a huge fine if the fill to early. And cause many other problems.... Plus people overdose on these type of drugs daily... There should be know reason why you need your scripts early... Drugs are prescribed a certain dose for a reason... If the dose your getting is not helping you anymore try to talk to your doctor... Or find a new one... Most doctors worry about there license so don't want to give out opiates or narcotics anymore... I don't agree how they are now days they don't care about there patients anymore... Good luck....

You must try to find a doctor that actually cares about there patients.... Not there license only.... Yes there are many overdoses... So the dea has been very strict on doctors.... So you really need to just keep trying to find a doctor that actually cares and that is VERY hard to do... But they are out there look hard you will eventually find one.... Good luck

Some people don't have a Car or are able to get around so that could be a reason for getting them filled early. Of course as we know it really doesn't matter for them. Can you tell us what that Customer Score Rite Aid uses actually means?

Sheesh, sounds like my apt. building. I get most everything delivered and my disability makes it hard to go several floors down to the mailboxes. We have notices up in 3 places over the mailboxes, and delivery people still leave boxes anywhere they please. They're supposed to call on the intercom, get buzzed in, and either come up, or you go down. They still do whatever they want. Had a refill of a scheduled med. stolen, and really had a hard time with explaining that! Never had scheduled meds mailed again. Now you have to pick them up in person anyway and sign for them.

I live fairly close to another state. I have chronic pain and needed my script early because I was going on vacation. I went to the other state and told them I had no insurance. I had to pay full price, but got what I needed.

If you use your insurance the insurance will not fill it 7 days early 3 days yes 7 no

Thanks, Ed...glad you got a workable security system installed! We have 120 apts. in my bldg, and it took them two years to even put the laminated notices up telling delivery people not to leave boxes. But they still do. Doubtful they would put up another security camera, but it can't hurt to ask :) Best, Natasha

I have encountered the same problems at times. Even when I am home waiting the mailman/women would lie and say no one was home. Some possible solutions are: #1) have them hold your packages at the post office. #2) Report it to the Post Master. #3) if you have a rental office maybe they could leave the package there.

If you have angina there are cardiac drugs that can help you. Xanax is not the answer. Take control of your health, find a doctor and stand up for yourself.

Since our fill-in mailperson seems to have disappeared, there haven't been any more problems. I have had to complain many times (for various packages, not just meds), filling out online forms. I also won't order a bunch of meds at once...I'll space them out...so the package is always small enough to fit in my mailbox.

Almost all states have their Prescription Monitoring Programs connected to neighboring states now. Pharmacists and doctors in both states can see your PMP Profile.
