My only reason for this is to defend CVS. They have never been rude to me. They fill my prescriptions very fast. I have waited for mine as I walk around the store. I do not even get half way through and my RX is ready. They know me by name and are very courteous. I never have waited more than 30 minutes for any prescription.

A ninety day supply can be refilled on the same basic time frame, a day or two before it is 90 days
A day, possibly two. Why not ask the Doctor to prescribe for a one month supply? I know my first prescription years ago was for 10 days at the .25 strength. Over the years I now get 12x more a day and for 30 days instead of 10 days, how times have changed
Hello, Lucy! How are you?
Thank you, Eddy!!
However, one also needs to take under consideration how it is prescribed. Does it direct you take it 3 times a day regularly, or does it say to take it as needed?
If it's on an as needed basis, then it might be considered to be more than a 10 day supply.
The FDA classifies Xanax as a benzodiazepine that's most commonly used to teat anxiety and nervous disorders. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability.
wal-Mart does 3 days early ,or 28 days has to pass by
Your insurance dictates that,My friend always did 3 days early for her xanax. One day it caught up to her and the insurance counted the past year of early perscriptions and she had to wait 5 weeks before they would refill.
My insurance fills at 75%, always have. Due to new laws you can't get scheduled medicine early anymore, period!
Xanax and other CS refill questions: In response to the individual that stated; "the laws have changed & so u cannot get any Controlled medications early whatsoever regardless of the state u live in or other reasons," is absolutely 10000% INCORRECT! Please don't post such matter of fact statements when it's obvious that you are completely unaware of these new laws!
I live in one of the top opiate abuser states in the US and my state fills 2, sometimes 3 days early on a CS 2, which is Oxys, methadone etc. Xanax is a CS 3, which is allowed to be filled even earlier than that but I would strongly suggest not getting early refills continuously as they will red flag you, making your life miserable in the prescription world. Also, pharmacists can be real A-holes. They have the right (legal right) to refuse to serve (fill) anyone's medication. It could be because they don't like the color of your shirt. But of course, they won't tell u that is why. But as crazy as it sounds, they can refuse to treat any customer without having to explain to them why. Stay clear from CVS! Walgreens is not as bad as many people make them sound out to be! In fact, they help me with early fills no problem if need be. Walgreens has been sued quite a bit, and recently paid out a huge chunk of change for some crazy crap, so that's why they might seem, or can be, skeptical at times. However, Walgreens is Wayyyyyy better than CVS!
Walmart is another not to be trusted. They take forever to fill a script, answer phone, and they are just plain uninformed and lack the basic knowledge, more than anything... But they are better than CVS too. Just stay clear from CVS! They are not your friend and if u don't believe me, google them and look at all of their shady ways, including intentionally overcharging customers by 3-5 times the amount elsewhere and have been for years and probably still do, & of course never take responsibility for their terrible wrongdoings. They are unempathetic, completely crooked and extremely rude, making most of their customers feel like criminals when they go to pick up their own prescriptions while they ask ten thousand security questions and require your Driver's License for anything that's not a vitamin! And this applies every Singke time whether they know you or not! They are beyond awful! I even gave them a third opportunity to make things right after they were so rude on multiple occasions, prior to this (2016-2017). Now being August 2017 CVS is sooo much worse now than they ever were then, being four-five years ago!
Re: Carole Nugent (# 7)
Carole, as you can tell Amanda had some serious problems, poor thing. CVS is fine but even CVS follows the current rules and regulations regarding early refills for Controlled meds, that was the point of this thread.
