Ranolazine 500mg (Top voted first)

My mother is 65 years old, consuming Ranolazine - but i dont know what for? Please advise me.

Ranolazine, the active ingredient in Ranexa is used to treat Angina.

Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness and dizziness.

My grandfather's physician prescribed Ranolazine 500mg BID for an event of angina 10 days ago. But, since the last 5 days my grandfather is only taking a once-a-day dose in the morning. There are no other symptoms noted over the last 5 days, except weakness and an increase in S. Potassium. Due to his weakness, I thought to go for a lab test of S. Sodium and S. Potassium, but, S. Potassium was 6.7mg. Is it because he skipped a dose within the last 5 days? Please reply soon.
