Yes, these tablets contain 150mgs of Ranitidine, the active ingredient in Zantac, I even have a couple of sample packages that my pharmacist gave me that have this exact pill in them. I use Pepcid/Famotidine and to get them on the $4 list, which is a lot cheaper than the over the counter price for the amount I take, I had to wait for my pharmacy to order them in for me. So, he gave me several of these to use in the meantime.

Ranitidine is a histamine H2 receptor agonist that is used to inhibit stomach acid production, to treat conditions such as heartburn, GERD and gastritis.

Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness and stomach pain.
