Prozac And Insomnia (Top voted first)

I am on 5 th week 20 mg of Prozac. Up to 5 days I was also taking xanax .50mg per day. Now that I feel better with my depression, I have stopped taking xanax. The last 3 days I cant sleep and at night when I close my eye my mind doesnt shut. Also still struggling with shortness of breath and some panic attacks. Specially now that stopped taking xanax. Any suggestion? Thank u

There's a chance that it's due to stopping the Xanax, you may be experiencing some withdrawal symptoms. It will likely just be a matter of time, before things improve. If not, then you should speak to your doctor.

As listed by the FDA, withdrawal symptoms may include nausea, headache, anxiety and depression.

Thank u. Yes I started to sleep better. Still wake up but not as bad. I guess it was xanax withdrawal. However I feel today better with my anixety but also feel numb. It has been 6 weeks on prozac 20 mg. I feel that everyday is different. Is this medication going to regulate my moods? Or is my expectations are just too high? Thank u
