Proxym-200 And Pantolet-d

I have been experiencing pain around my left knee, especially while sitting and climbing stairs. The knee X-ray does not show significant wear and tear or a reduction in the joint gap. My orthopedist suggested that I try Proxym-200 and Pantolet-D. Could you please advise if it's advisable to use these, and also inform me of any potential side effects of these tablets? Thank you.

Well, only you and your doctor can decide if they are okay for you to take, I can only give you information on the medications.

Proxym contains the active ingredient Etodolac, it is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling.

Its side effects may include: nausea, headache, stomach irritation and dizziness.

From what I can find, Pantolet-D contains Pantoprazole and Domperidone, it is used to help reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach. There's a good chance this was prescribed to prevent the irritation and damage that the Proxym might cause.
