my mother is concerned about being on 1000mg of proxen. she knows that there are side effects and wants to know what they are. she is 77yo.

Proxen contains the active ingredient Naproxen, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that is used to treat pain, fever and swelling.

Side effects may include: nausea, headache, drowsiness and stomach irritation.
